Fourty Three

Maya's POV:

By 8 o'clock it's my turn to drive. Farkle and I switch places. I turn on the radio and R5's song from their new album comes on, "Repeating Days." It's honesty a great song.
After an hour of driving I ask if anyone's hungry. Riley and Farkle both yell from the back, "YES!" I say, "Okay well we pass a McDonald's. Sounds good?" Riley says excitedly, "YAY!"
I drive thru and order everyone's food and pass it around.
The next 3 hours was actually fun. We made it halfway through Utah.
By 12am my driving shift is over, but Riley said she will take over in the morning. I ask, "Do you guys wanna find a hotel or just a rest stop?" Lucas suggests, "Let's find a hotel. I'll look up the closest one." I nod my head. He says, "Oh look there's a 4 star one about 10 minutes from here!" I say, "4 star for only one night. We've got it made guys." And laugh. I drive to the hotel and check in a 3 bedroom room.
We unlock the door and walk in. Farkle asks, "So who gets what rooms?" I say, "I call my own room. Lucas and Riley can share. Just don't do anything you'd regret." I joke. Farkle nods but Riley says, "Why can't the boys share and we get our own rooms?" I shrug and say, "I don't really care what you all decide on. All I care about is I want my own room for tonight. Maybe someone can get the pull out couch. But I'm going to bed so night night." I walk to the closest room and throw myself in the bed and fall asleep shortly after.

Riley's POV:

"I can take the couch and you guys can have your own rooms. It's no big deal honestly." I say. Lucas says, "No way! You get a room. I don't care either. I can sleep wherever. I don't think anyone cares to be honest so you two get a room, I'll get the couch." I kiss Lucas goodnight and walk to my room. I get in bed and stare up at the ceiling. It's kinda weird having my own bed. I haven't slept alone in a year since Maya and I have always shared. Maybe Lucas and I could sleep together. Not in the bad way, just share a bed. I walk out into the front room and see Lucas pulling his shirt off. I say, "Lucas?" He turns around and says, "Yeah what's up?" I say shyly, "Well. I haven't slept alone in a while and do you wanna sleep with me tonight?" He holds my face and kisses me softly and says, "I thought you'd never ask." He holds my hand as we walk to the room together. We climb into bed and I bury my face in Lucas' warm chest as he puts his strong arm around my body. He strokes my hair softly and gently which makes me drift off to sleep with a smile on my face.

I woke up early the next morning. I saw Lucas still asleep so I kissed his forehead and opened the curtains. I looked at the time:
7:03am
No ones gonna be awake. I walked into Maya's room and saw her sprawled out across the bed asleep. I decide we should get back on the move so I wake her up. I say, "Goodmorning Maya. Wake up we need to get back on the road." She stays silent and moves her position. I groan and slap her back lightly. She whines and says in a groggy voice, "Whaaaat?" I say, "Wake up we gotta go." She says with a yawn, "Okay." I walk into Farkles room and turn on his light which makes him squint his eyes and groan. I say, "Waaake uuup." Then I walk back into me and Lucas's room and attack his face with soft kisses. He wakes up with a smile and grabs my waist and kisses my neck. I laugh as he starts to tickle me with his tongue. Maya walks in and says, "I'm read-" she covers her eyes and says, "Oh whoops I'm sorry." And walks back out. I get off Lucas and say, "Get up lets go."
We check out our room and walk back into the car.
As I'm driving I ask, "Who wants breakfast?" Everyone cheers.
I drive into the Starbucks parking lot and we go in and I get a mocha frappe, Maya got a blonde brew coffee, Farkle got a bagel and a fresh brew coffee, and Lucas got a sandwich and a fresh brew. As were ordering our drinks I notice I hear Eyes Wide Open on the radio. My eyes and mouth open wide and I keep pointing at Maya. She says, "I know I can hear too. Shhh." And laughs.  We all get back in the car and I continue on.
An hour later I check and see Lucas Maya and Farkle all asleep. Well this is gonna be boring now. I turn on the radio and it comes on full blast. Everyone jolts and screams awake. I say apologetically, "SORRY!" Maya whines, "Gosh Riley you scared the shit out of me." and lays her legs across Farkle. Lucas puts his hand on my thigh and smiles at me. I keep my eyes on the road and give him a side smile. For the next 2 hours, it's silent but in a peaceful way.

So I have an idea for the next few chapters involving Maya and Lucas and Ross and Josh! Its dramaaaa ;)
