Sixty Six

Riley's POV:

We sit down at the bay window. I say, "Tell me everything." She says, "Alright well there's 2 things. I WAS some where last night doing something with someone. I didn't come in till 6. And before I say this and ruin everything we have just know that I lo-" I cut her off, "Maya. Just tell me, please. Nothing you or I do will ruin our friendship." She hesitates and quickly finishes, "...I kissed Ross before we left. And I kissed Lucas last night...." As much as I want to shoot her right now, I know that will only make the stress level in this room rise so much more. I breath out deeply and say, "Oh. Last time this happened it didn't end so well." She says, "Riley I swear I know I've said this before about Ross but it was just in the moment. We were saying bye and he just leaned in and I just kissed back. And last night I don't even know what happened. Riley I'm so sorry." I say, "Shh. It's fine. It's the past there's no reason to get upset over what already happened. I'm.. Okay." She throws her arms around me and says, "Thank you Riley I promise this won't happen again." I nod and say, "Okay. Oh and don't worry. I won't tell anyone.. Especially Josh." She says, "Oh yeah. If you do I deserve it. I'm a jerk." I say, "I won't. You don't. You're not. Okay?" She nods and we walk back out to the dining room and see everyone dancing and singing We'll Be The Stars. Even Farkle and Zay are here now.

Maya's POV:

This is too painful to watch. But at the same time it's cute. I cover my eyes and Josh turns around and grabs my hands away. He twirls me around and around. He dips me down and kisses me passionately. I whisper, "I love you." He lifts me back up and says, "I love you too." Shawn steps in and says strictly to Josh, "Watch them hands and lips boy." I say, "Shawn!" My mom says, "Josh ignore him. You two are my favorite pair of love birds." I smile and say, "Thanks mom." She hugs me and kisses my cheek. I pull away and sit down next to Riley, Josh, Lucas, Farkle, and Zay on the couch. I say, "Well what now?" Zay suggests, "Wanna just walk around the city until we get bored?" Riley gets shaken up and gasps. She must've been remembering last time she ran out. I comfort and joke to her, "Don't worry Riles. If that happens again, I'll just beat 'em up." I throw my fists up in the air. Lucas says, "No way. I'LL take care of them." Josh says, "No way shrimp. I'll get them." Lucas says, "If I let you protect my girl for me that would look bad on my part." Josh shakes his head and says, "No no. See, if anything happens to YOUR girl, MY girl, being the little instigator she is, will start shit that I have to get her out of." I smirk and laugh and say, "Yeah he's right." Cory cuts in and says, "Yeah okay none of this is happening. If you guys need to resolve a conflict, do it the right way." Josh taps his finger on his knee and says, "We'll see." Cory says sternly, "Josh. I really mean it." I say, "Whatever lets just go." We all get up and Riley stays still. I look back at her and say, "Come on. You're coming right?" She looks down at her feet and says quietly, "I'm scared." I say, "Psh. I can beat them up. I'll take care of anyone who gives you one look." She says, "I'm being serious." I say, "Well I am too. You trust me to protect you right?" She says, "Yeah, but you can't protect me without just getting hurt yourself. I don't want anyone getting hurt." I get up and say, "We just won't go down the bad streets. Come on everyone's safe. They're waiting for us in the lobby." She sighs and follows me out the door.

Do you think Riley's fear is foreshadowing something ;) or is it just Riley being Riley? Lol. How did you like this chapter? I'm gonna be cutting them shorter now because they've been really long. Tell me if you like them that way or not. Okay bye for now :)
