Twenty Four

Maya's POV:

After we got home I knew it was time I sat Farkle, Riley, and Lucas down and told them about the album.
Mr. Matthews unlocks the door and I rush in quickly and pull my 3 friends over to Riley's bay window. I start, "Alright guys. I took a step. A big one. I need to tell you something I did 2 days ago. But I just want you to know that since I did this. Everything might change a lot soon and I don't want it to ruin our friendship. Got it?" Everyone agreed and nodded their heads. Riley yelled, "TELL ME. TELL ME. TELL ME. TELL ME!!!! I say back, "Okay Riley calm down. So I talked to Hollywood records, the record company who helped me produce my album, and I said that I wanted to have my album up for sale and that we already have over 1 million downloads virtually!" Everyone's mouths dropped in excitement and they all screamed in unison, "YAAAAAAAAAY!" We all had a group hug and Farkle said, "Congratulations Maya I'm so proud of you!" And Lucas said, "I'm so happy for you Maya! I never doubted you for a second!" And Riley said as she was in tears of happiness, "I'm really proud of you Peaches, I knew you had it in you to do this and you took our word for it and you're doing great! This is it Maya! You found what you'll be doing for hopefully the rest of your life. I'm happy to say I'll be by your side through it all." I hugged her really tight and started to tear up. This time I didn't care to hold back my tears. I'm so glad I have the friends I have to help move me to do what is best for me. Then Mr. And Mrs. Matthews come in the door smiling and say, "Sorry to be nosey and eavesdrop, but we had to. We're really proud of you Maya! We hope all good comes from this." And they hug me and I hug them back and thank them. I walk back to the bay window when Farkle asks, "So Maya, since you're gonna be famous now when's your first concert?" Famous? I didn't like to think of myself famous. I reply back, "Don't be silly Farkle I'm not gonna be famous. People just might look at me differently that's all. No concerts." I check my phone after I say that:

We would like to schedule an appointment with you to see when you'd like to have another recording session and talk about future concerts or tours! So please get back to us.

Wow. Maybe Farkle is right. I might become world known. Who knew a broken, tough, "no body" girl with no hopes or dreams could be a worldwide selling music artist? Things are changing very quickly. Riley looks over at my phone and says, "NOW! BOOK AN APPOINTMENT NOW! Maya you're getting big already people are gonna want more and more! You can go on tour!" I smile over at Riley and say, "Riley calm down. I'll book it, but not now. Maybe in the morning and if I ever do go on tour or have concerts you guys are coming with me." Everyone gets really excited. Riley smiles back at me and asks, "Well in honor of Maya's success, who wants to watch a movie?" I say, "Sounds like a good idea." We all head out into the living room and for the next 2 hours we watch an Avengers movie the boys decided on.
While watching the movie I had no idea what was going on because I've never seen an avengers movie before. I looked over at Riley who kept cringing at the sight of the characters fighting. I checked my phone:

Shawn: hey kiddo! So I know you guys are leaving in a few days to head back to LA :( and your mom and I are on a little getaway, but just letting you know we will be back tomorrow. Stay safe

Stay safe? Does he know I'm staying with the Matthews? I laugh at my thoughts and lean back on the couch. Once Riley's and my head are leaning on each other with a blanket over us, my eyes start to feel heavy and I fall asleep with a smile on my face.
