Sixty Seven

Maya's POV:

As we're walking down the street a crowd of screaming girls comes up to me. Riley gets tense and stiffens up and I comfort her, "They're just fans. It's okay." They ask me to sign and take a bunch of pictures with them. That easily kills a half hour. We walk into some café and sit in a booth, while Zay and Lucas went to order us smoothies. I notice my song Eyes Wide Open starts to play on the radio. Riley gives me that big, goofy grin of hers and I mouth I know and giggle. Farkle and Josh start to quietly sing the song under their breaths.
Then I hear a worker call out from behind the counter, "AH I LOVE THIS SONG. I'd kill to meet her." Then another worker says, "Well she does live around here. Who knows." Riley nudges me and says, "You should go up there and act like you're gonna order something. It'll make her day." I say, "Nah I don't kno-" She pushes me up and I say loudly, "Dammit Riley." Other people around us recognize me and smile. I wave and smile back. I walk behind Lucas and ask, "Did you order yet?" The worker screams and drops to the floor. She gets back up quickly and says, "Holy. Oh my God. You're Maya Hart. I'm literally shaking I love you so much. We were just talking about you too.
This can't be real." I laugh and say, "I love you too! You're the sweetest, you just made my day." She screeches and asks, "Can I take a picture with you?" I nod and say happily, "Of course!" I hand Lucas her phone and say, "Take good pictures of us, Huckleberry." She laughs and hugs me in the picture and I hug her back. Then we take cute smiling ones. Then we take some 'silly' ones. Lucas gives her phone back and she thanks him. She asks me, "Where's Josh?" I turn back to the table and I call, "Josh!" He says sweetly, "Yeah babe?" I motion him to come here and he runs over to me. He puts his hands on my waist and introduces himself sweetly to the worker. She introduces herself as Tiffany. She's a very pretty, average height, blonde, green eyed, young girl. I'd say she's about 17.
After talking to Tiffany for a few minutes, Zay and Lucas come back to the table with the drinks so we say goodbye. I sit back down next to Riley and say, "She's so adorable." Riley grins widely at me and says, "This makes me so happy." I say, "What does?" She says, "When you meet your fans. I can tell they make you really happy and that makes me happy." I smile and say, "Yeah they do. They're amazing people."
As we're talking I check my phone for the time:
3:23pm

I exclaim loudly, "SHIT I just remembered! I have to be at Topanga's at 3:30!" Riley says, "It's okay we can still make it! Let's just leave now." We all get up and run out of the café. We don't stop till we get to Topanga's. There's already a crowd surrounding a cute, little, stage platform. As we open the door everyone's heads turn and they all cheer. I smile and wave and I go behind the counter that is like our 'backstage' my mom says, "Oh good you made it. We thought you were gonna bail." I laugh and say, "No no." I turn to my band who only has an acoustic guitar and a cajon drum. I say in relief, "Perfect. This is perfect for this little stage. Okay so we're only gonna do 2 songs. We can do Eyes Wide Open and Seamless." They nod in agreement and we walk on the platform.

Okay next chapter will be the little concert! So how do you like Maya meeting her fans in public? It's not gonna happen a lot a lot but it will every now and then as she starts to get bigger and bigger. Bye! :)
