Thirty Two

Maya's POV:

By 5:09 I woke up to the sound of people talking. It was my mom and Shawn, Riley's parents, farkles parents, and Riley's grandparents. When did they get here? I looked down and saw Riley awake already watching tv. I stretched to let her know I was awake. And turned and says, "Oh good you're awake. I meant to tell you your phone was going off but I left it alone." I reach over Josh and grab my phone:
5:10pm
1 missed call (HW Records)

I call them back

On the phone

Maya: Hello? Sorry I missed your call before.
Michelle (my assistant manager):
That's okay Maya. I wanted to confirm our appointment for tomorrow at 7:30pm. Correct?
Maya: oh tomorrow at 7? I thought we made it for the next day. I'm flying back home tomorrow then I have to catch a flight that night to get to you.
Michelle: yes I know we did, but we have a meeting at that time and can't make it. Can you make tomorrow by any chance?
Maya: uhm. It might be tight but I have to check. I'll call you back
Michelle: okay let me know by tonight

End of call

Shit. Tomorrow by 7:30? If I want to make that I have to leave NY like now. I turn to Riley with a sympathetic face and say, "Alright. This is really a lot on you, but... I have to fly back out to LA and then catch another 2 hour flight to be at the studio... And I have to go really soon."
Riley gives me a concerned look and says, "When really soon? And wait why? I thought we were gonna fly out tomorrow afternoon." I sigh and say, "I know. They had an appointment and Michelle couldn't fit me in. So you stay and fly out tomorrow with Farkle and Lucas. I might just try to book and catch a flight now." She gets serious and says, "Are you crazy? You can't go back by yourself. I'm gonna come with you." Lucas and Farkle cut in and say, "Yeah we're not letting you go alone." I say back to them, "No this is my problem I don't want you guys to have to rush out. I'd feel bad. You're enjoying everyone's company." Riley says, "So are you! We will see them very soon anyways." She hinted towards the tour. I say, "Fine but I need to go and book this now so are you positive?" Farkle, Lucas and Riley all say at once, "YES!" I get up and go to Riley's laptop please be tickets left please. I hope to myself. I type in our destination. and see a lot of open seats left on the plane. Oh thank God. I say in my head. I hit the "book" button and print out our tickets. I walk back into the living room and say, "Okay our flights at 10:00pm tonight. So get packing." I frown. I don't want to leave just yet. But Riley's right were gonna see them before the tour and I'm sure they're gonna come to a few shows. Everyone gets up and starts to fill up their luggages with all their belongings and I do the same. By 7:00 we were ready to leave for LAX. I say, "okay guys make sure you have everything. We have to leave now we're already cutting it close." Before we walk out we say our final goodbyes to everyone. There's tears and sobbing of course. But not from me. We all hug everyone goodbye and walk out to the street and catch a cab. The cab driver asks, "Where are you headed?" Farkle answers, "LAX." The driver nods his head and pulls away from the apartment building. While we're in the car I call back Michelle and tell her I'll be there.
I look at Riley who is watching the apartment building get smaller and smaller. She looks at me and smiles and says, "This is gonna be our lives now. I'm excited." I say to her, "Constantly traveling and having to leave the places we get attached to. Things are changing and they're changing fast. I just hope it's for the better." Riley says, "Of course it is! If it weren't, things wouldn't have worked out this way. Thanks for letting us come along with you on this journey." I say, "No, thank you guys for coming with me! It wouldn't be fun without you guys." Lucas and Farkle are looking at a map of all the destinations were possibly making on tour and say, "Are you kidding? I'm so excited to go all over!" I smile at them and lean my head on Riley's shoulder and think about how my life went from average and took a huge drastic jump. It's kinda crazy how fast things can be changing. I check my current Twitter follower number: 290.6k and see the fourth trending hashtag: #MayaTo300k
I get a feeling of butterflies. I tweet:
"You guys are amazing for trending this #MayaTo300k all my lovin xx"
Finally we arrive at the airport. I check in our luggage and we wait for our flight. Riley says, "I'm excited to fly at night. Seeing all the pretty glowing city lights underneath us." I reply, "Yeah it's really cool and flying in early dawn is the best thing too! So we have the best of both words right now." Farkle and Lucas come back to our terminal with 4 coffees for us from Starbucks. Farkle says, "Two blonde coffees, Riley and Maya. And two fresh brews, Lucas and Farkle." And hands us our coffees I mouth a thank you and sip my drink. Lucas asks, "So where are you most excited to go?" I say, "Hmmm. It'll have to be Hawaii." Their eyes light up and open wide and say, "WERE GOING TO HAWAII?" I laugh and say, "Yup! I was gonna keep it from you for a while but I decided this was a good time to tell you. We're going to 16 of 50 states."
Suddenly the loud speaker says, "Can all passengers on flight 95 please start boarding, thank you." I say, "That's us!" We get up and walk into the plane and take our seats.

Long chapter! What do you think will happen in Maya's meeting tomorrow? And how do you feel about the tour? I think I might leave the book off before the tour and make a sequel continuing with it :)
