Eighty Six

Riley's POV:

After talking to Justin for a half hour I learned he's exactly how Maya described. He took my phone and put his contact in with the name

I laughed and decided to keep it. Lucas would get mad, but he needs to realize that I can have other guy friends. He doesn't get jealous over Farkle or Zay! Or does he? Nah probably not.
Justin asked me to go on a 'hang out' but I think he meant date. I told him I have Lucas, but he said it won't be a date but I knew how he thought of it. I decided to go because when am I gonna see him again? Probably never unless I go back to LA with Maya when she has to.
We all watched the performance from backstage peeping our heads through the curtain. For some reason people kept cheering louder whenever we popped our heads through. They all probably have no idea who we are. Although, lately all my social media has been blowing up with new followers and mentions. I like the attention actually. Maya's lucky she gets to do this as her job. Maybe I could be her assistant manager. That would be fun.
Now it's Justin's turn to go on. He kisses my cheek really quickly and says, "Wish me luck!" And follows his band on stage playing his new song Children.
Maya hops off and screams, "WOOO!" I laugh and hug her tightly and say, "You were so good!" She jumps up and down and says, "I'm having a huge adrenaline rush. That crowd is INSANE! It's like everyone and their mothers are out there! And they're so active and into it and sang every word! So many people were in tears and others couldn't stop smiling the whole time and everyone had a phone out jumping up and down. That was definitely my favorite crowd yet. WOOP!" My family, her mom, Josh, Lucas, Zay, and Farkle come running over to her and we all have one big group hug. I see and hear cameras flashing all around us, but I actually like this too. Who knows this might be in some magazine or online article. Maya let's go and says, "Ah jeez. Sorry about them." Randy comes and pushes the paparazzi all away.
We stay for Justin's performance and hang out backstage for a little while. Justin performed songs from his new album Purpose. He sang: Children, Been You, We Are, Love Yourself, Mark My Words, and Purpose. I love his new songs. Some remind me of the old 2009 Justin. It's honestly a great album.
Lucas says to me, "So you like Justin huh?" I say, "Come on Lucas. He's my good friend. Like Ross is to Maya. Can't you just accept it like Josh did?" I look over and see Ross and Josh and Maya all engaged in conversation. Rydel says, "Lucas I promise you, Justin's not the way you or the media thinks him to be. He's nothing more to a friend to Riley and he knows not to go farther. It's cute how protective you're getting. You're lucky Riley." Ellington puts his arm around her and says pouting, "I'm cute too." She kisses his cheek and says, "Yes sweetie you are." Riker says, "Okay get a room please." I notice Ryland staring at Maya with his eyes as big as saucers. I nudge Rocky next to me and head nod to Ryland. Rocky laughs and says, "Yeah he's like in love with her. But hey I can't blame him. Although, you'd be the one I stare at." And smirks and winks.
Ermmm. I like Rocky and all as a friend but he obviously knows about Lucas. He's just a flirt. I fake a smile and turn back to Lucas. Riker whispers, "Don't worry about Rocky. He just thinks he's top shit because he can 'flirt' with anyone. Then if he gets rejected he gets butt hurt, but he'll get over it." I say, "Yeah I picked that up.. Thanks Rike." He smiles and says, "Anytime." I thought Rocky was different when I met him before tour. We got along really well, but all he wanted was to be more than that. Riker's a really good friend too. And of course Ell and Rydel and Ross. But I'd say Riker is my favorite, we get along real well.
After Justin's performance, he left almost immediately after saying his goodbyes.
We followed him out to our limo. Obviously crowds ran up to us but Randy and some other body guard held them off while we rushed into the limo. Maya screams again, "WOOOO!" I giggle and cover her mouth saying, "Stop doing that!" She says, "I CANT!  I FEEL LIKE IM TOUCHING THE TOP OF THE SKY! LIKE IM ON THE RIDE OF MY LIFE! I FEEL LIKE I CAN TAKE ON THE WORLD! Oo wait that sounds good." She starts jotting down something on a pad and pen in the cup holder. My dad says, "I always told you guys to go and take on the world. Now look what came  from it. The world is yours now." Maya says to me, "When we get home, me, you, guitar, singing. New song with you. You can sing! I've heard you before. This is gonna be great. Another song about me and you based on our actual life." I say shocked, "I- uh. Maya I can't sing! What are you talking about." She says, "Yes you can! Don't lie to yourself. Doesn't matter you're doing this." Im not a singer! But wow this might actually be REALLY FUN! Recording with Maya. I can see what it's like to be her for a week or however long.
Katy says, "Maya honey you're just saying things you're too hyper right now." We all laugh and Maya says, "No I'm serious! I want to do this." My mom says to Katy, "Yeah she's gonna sleep good tonight." I yawn and say, "I already am. Maya's just gonna be all jittery one second, then she's just gonna crap out and be dead the next." Everyone laughs and Maya says sarcastically, "Haha very funny." I say, "Well we have a 2 hour ride ahead of us so we'll see."
After the first half hour I felt so tired and drifted off to sleep on mayas shoulder.

Okay I had to involve take on the world for many reasons😂😂 one of them is I'm listening to it right now so why not. I'm excited for this now. What about you guys?
