Fifty Eight

Maya's POV:

We just got home from tour. It was SO FUN!
We have a flight to NY in 3 hours so we have to leave the house in a short while.
Little does riley know, I'm hurting bad about Josh. I'm so pissed and I'm so sad at the same time. He's just a fuckboy. I can only imagine how many other girls he's got with while I've been gone. But..... to be honest, it doesn't make sense. I can't see him doing that. But his excuse sounds so fake. I guess we'll find out when I either forgive him or slap him across the face tonight..
Speaking of the devil I just got a text from him:
Josh: Hiya pumpkin
Maya: Mmm. Don't call me that. That's Riley's nickname.
Josh: oo sorry babe
Maya: mkay
Josh: you good?
Maya: don't act so innocent. Listen, Riley told me. Let's not even make a big deal of this until we can talk face to face to see if you're lying or not. K? K.
Josh: Maya I'm sorry I'm not lying
Maya: I said we're not talking about this
Josh: but I want to explain
Maya: don't fucking push me any more than you already did.
Josh: okay. Can we atleast talk?
Maya: uhm. Sure whatever
Josh: whatcha up to
Maya: packing. Wbu
Josh: waiting for you to come
Maya: yeah I just want to be there now.
Josh: i want you here now.
Maya: I bet you do
Josh: I miss you
Maya: mmhmm doesn't seem like you missed me too much, but ok then
Josh: I'll explain it all in person. It'll make sense.

I don't even feel like talking to him anymore. It hurts. I continue to pack everything I use. I go to Riley's room and ask, "You ready? We're leaving in a little bit." She nods and says, "Yuuup!" I smile slightly and walk to Lucas' room. I say, "Ranger Rick you ready?" He laughs and says, "Yeah Ms. Clutterbucket." I glare up at him and grab the collar of his shirt and twist it in my firm grip. I let go and push him back on the bed and I smile and walk out. I go to Farkle's room and say, "Farkle you ready?" He turns around and says, "Ready as I'll ever be. Ready for school?" I pretend to puke and say, "I think that answers your question." Before we leave I hear the doorbell ring so I go to answer it. When I open the door my eyes meet with my favorite pair of brown eyes. "Hey Ross." I say. He squeezes me and twirls me around in circles. He puts me down with my face inches away from his. He stares at me and says quietly, "I'm gonna miss you so much this year. I can't go without seeing you the whole time so you better come back and visit me got it?" He's so close to me I feel his soft breath against my lips I smile and bite my bottom lip and say, "Or you just come to NY. Promise me you will. Please." He says, "Don't you worry. I will. I'll be your Josh when he's not around." And winks at me. I hesitate and say, "Well actually. I-uh- have to tell you that- that- uhm. He cheated on me....." He steps back and gives me a sympathetic look. He holds my hands and says, "Maya. I'm sorry to hear that. I'm here for you." We both lean in quickly and our lips crash and I feel a sensation of fireworks and happiness. I pull back and say, "Well I can't really believe that he did. He wouldn't do that but his excuse seemed a bit fake. So I'm gonna talk to him one on one tonight. If I call you crying, you'll know what happened." He nods and says, "Like I said, I'm here for you. Always." I smile and say, "I know Ross. Thank you." He says, "You probably have to go soon so I'll let you go. Have a good flight and text me when you get there. Good luck on the talk." And kisses my cheek softly and walks away. I slowly close the door and say, "Wow." Under my breath.
Good thing no one else went to answer the door. Farkle comes into the front room and calls to Riley and Lucas, "C'mon guys we gotta go."
He looks at me and sighs and says, "I'm gonna miss this place." I say, "Yeah me too. But it's gonna be real good to be back in New York." He agrees and asks, "Are we getting an uber, right?" I nod and say, "Yeah. Too bad it can't be Ross. He's off today." He slightly pouts and says, "That does suck. I really like all of those guys." I smile and say, "Me too."
Riley and Lucas come down the stairs dragging their luggages. I say, "Okay. Back to New York." We all walk outside and wait for the uber I had called earlier.
When it arrives, we tell him our destination and all wait anxiously to get to the airport.
When we get there we check in our luggage and wait in our terminal for a half hour. Riley leans her head on mine and asks, "So are you gonna talk to him tonight or tomorrow morning?" I reply, "Well I was thinking tonight before, but I think when we get there we're gonna be really jet-lagged so tomorrow might be better." We're gonna be landing in New York at 7:30pm on a Friday. Good thing we have the weekend before we go back to school Monday. It's gonna be hard to get back into this routine. Riley says, "Ooh. Yeah true."
After our flight gets called we board the plane. This plane is huge and has 4 seats on one side and we were lucky enough to find 4 open seats next to each other. After the first hour, Riley and I fell asleep until we started to descend.
I was woken up by the intercom of the pilot come through, "Attention all passengers. Please remain seated and keep your seat belts on as we start to descend. We should be arriving in about 15 minutes, thank you."
After we get off the plane we get a taxi to the apartment. Riley buzzes us in and the door is opened immediately by Auggie. He runs back to Topanga and Cory screaming, "THEY'RE HOME! THEY'RE HOME!" Riley drops her things and pulls Auggie into a tight hug. Then, we all converse and greet each other and by 9:00 the boys and Riley and I fell asleep for the night.

Okay a lot happened here! Maya told Josh that she knows, Josh is confident he will explain everything to Maya, Maya and Ross kissed... Again! And now they're back home. Next chapter is gonna have the talk between Josh and Maya. Thanks for reading! Bye:)
