Twenty Six

Riley's POV:

I barely slept at all last night because I was up all night thinking about Maya. How much has she been keeping from me? I check my phone for the time:
8:47am
That's early enough to wake up. I "accidentally" kick Maya as I wake up. She groans, "Ow!" I say sarcastically, "Sorry princess." I stomp out of the room and into the kitchen. I open the cabinet and slam down a cup and pour in some orange juice. I look up at my dad who is staring at me, "What are ya doing?" I roll my eyes and walk into the living room and turn on the T.V. As I'm flipping through the channels I hear Maya's voice from the bedroom, "Okay that's great! See you then!" "She's probably going to another party." I said under my breath. Maya jumps into the room and sits next to me and asks enthusiastically, "Riles! Guess what I just did?" I reply, "Don't know. Don't care." She frowns and says, "Would you still not care if I just scheduled an appointment to talk to Hollywood Records about a possible upcoming tour?" OMG! TOUR?! I suddenly forget my anger at her and just before I can grin really big I remember: She's hiding things from me. I turn away and say, "Yup. Still don't care." She came behind me and shook me, "What is wrong with you? You're Riley! You should be jumping up and down! You're coming on tour with me! We're gonna go everywhere together, Riles! All over the country! It's gonna be great!" WHAT? I'm going with her?! I can't help but hold back my excitement. I grin really big and throw my arms around my best friend. I can't stay mad at her even if I am gonna regret this later.

Maya's POV:

I woke up today with a not so pleasant awakening by being kicked Riley. "Ow." I tiredly groan. She says back in a sarcastic tone, "Sorry princesses." And walks out. What's up with her?
I turn over to Josh who was smiling at me. "What?" I ask him. He says, "Do you know that you snore? It's the cutest thing." I laugh and say, "Did you know that you're creepy for watching me sleep?" He laughs and says with a sexy morning voice, "Goodmorning." I nearly melted every time he said anything to me that morning. I reply, "Well I got to go. I have to make a call, so I'll see you later, okay?" He nods his head and hangs up.
I've been thinking about going on a tour and how much fun it would be. Except it wouldn't be any fun without Riley. I decide to call up the record company and tell them I'm interested.
I end the call and run into the living room to find Riley to tell her the good news.
I say, "Riles, guess what I just did?!" She says back, "Don't know. Don't care." Don't know, don't care? Something must be very wrong. I frown and say, "Would you still not care if I just scheduled an appointment to talk to Hollywood Records about a possible upcoming tour?" Still nothing. She says, "Yup. Still don't care." I went over to her and shook her hard and said, "What is wrong with you? You're Riley! You should be jumping up and down! You're coming on tour with me! We're gonna go everywhere together, Riles! All over the country! It's gonna be great!" After I said that, I broke her. She gave me that big grin that makes me laugh every time I see it. She throws her arms around me and I hug her tight back. After this moment we're having I have to ask her what's wrong.
9:41am
By now Riley, Lucas, Farkle and I are talking about tour and where we're going to be stopping along the way.
"Hey I got a question." I say. "What's up?" She says back. "What was wrong earlier? Did something happen?" She sighs and says, "Oh it's nothing I was just mad about something, but I'm over it." I demand, "Tell me. Now." She says, "When you woke up last night I heard that you were on the phone with Josh.." Is she mad that I kept her up or she heard something? But what would she have heard? Then I realize. I gasp to myself. The first party. She heard me talking about how I went to another party before that. Shit. I say, "Oh no. Listen. Riley the only reason I kept it from you was for the sake of our friendship. I didn't mean anything bad by it. I fucked up twice and once with you and I'm not gonna do it again. I promise." She pauses and says, "Listen, since it's in the past I don't care. Just don't keep anything from me again, okay? And don't promise something you know you can't keep." And walks out of the apartment. I follow her out and say, "Riley! Wait!" She turns around quickly and says, "What!?" I go up to her and say in a quiet voice, "I only promised I won't because I know I won't. I'm serious." She stays silent for a couple minutes and I say again, "Riley. Please. Don't be mad at me I promise!" By now I'm basically begging her. She turns back around and walks away and leaves me there. Alone. Why am I such a fuck up?

Long chapter! But some drama! How will this effect the upcoming tour?
