Fourty Six

Skip ahead 2 weeks

Riley's POV:

I woke up next to Maya asleep and the sound of loud construction. I don't know how she can sleep through this. Farkle must have been awake already and let them in.
We called a construction company to build onto our house so we can finally have our own rooms. Maya's most excited out of all of us.
I take her phone and text Josh:
Maya: hi
Josh: wow you're up early
Maya: it's 10 Josh
Josh: that's early for you
Maya: *sends picture of Maya sleeping*
Josh: did Riley take that of you
Maya: yes Riley did
Josh: where is she anyway
Maya: texting you
Josh: no? I didn't get any texts from her
Maya: it's Riley
Josh: ooh. That makes sense now.
Maya: idiot
Josh: how'd you get in her phone anyways? Isn't she still asleep?
Maya: indeed she is. her passcode isn't that hard to figure out.
Josh: FaceTime me

On FaceTime

Josh says looking at Maya, "Ah. There she is." I say, "There she is. Why'd you wanna FaceTime anyway?" Josh giggles and adjusts himself on the bed and says, "So I can do this." And waves an air horn in front of the camera. I cover my mouth and say, "Awh you can't do that. That's mean." He says laughing, "Oh come on. It's funny. She won't mind." I look over at Maya then back to Josh and say, "Go on 3.... 1.....2.....3!" As I say 3 Josh blasts the air horn echoing through our room. I didn't realize how loud the volume on her phone was. Maya shoots up and says in an angry and groggy voice, "What the hell was that?!" I laugh and high five Josh through the camera. She squints her eyes at her phone and sees Josh smiling at her. She says to him, "Ugh. Come on Josh you're being a child." He laughs and mocks her saying, "Oh come on Maya you're being a child." She rolls her eyes and hops off the bed. She says to me, "I guess today's the last day of the addition, huh?" I nod my head and say, "Yes it is. Tomorrow the furniture should be shipped." She says loudly, "Sweet!" And walks out of the room. I turn to Josh and say, "I think she forgot you were here that quickly." He says, "Eh. She probably did. She's a wild girl. Her head's all over the place." I laugh and say, "Or just on her new room." He laughs back and says, "Yeah she seems pretty stoked about it. Why is that exactly?" I shrug and say, "I guess she wants her own bed and a little privacy." He says, "True. Well I'm gonna let you go. Tell her I'll talk to her later." I nod and end the call

End of FaceTime call

After I hung up with Josh I walked down into the living room to find Maya. "Maya?" I call. She says in a distant voice, "I'm upstairs!" I walk back into her new room and see her admiring her wood floors and cream colored walls. She turns around and says, "It's done. What do ya think?" I say, "Wow. It's beautiful. I love it." She smiles and asks, "So what'd you need to tell me before?" I say, "Oh right. Well first off, Josh wanted to talk you later and I was wondering if you wanted to come shopping with me today. I want some new clothes for tour." She says, "Ooh yeah I can definitely use some new clothes too."
I step into the drivers seat of our car and Maya gets in the passengers seat. I turn on the radio and Hotline Bling comes on. I immediately look over at Maya and grin and at the same time she smiles big at me too. Every time this song comes on we always sing it together. We scream the lyrics of the song as I drive to the mall.
First we go in Hollister. I buy a cute daisy sun dress and a flowy peasant top. Maya buys a pink and cream sweater and a white high neck top. Next we go in Forever 21. I find a really cute light sweater and Maya gets a cute pair of laced shorts. After shopping in American eagle and then free people for the next few hours, we head home.
We meet up with Farkle and Lucas at a nice restaurant down the street for some dinner. After we finish eating, Farkle and Lucas insist on splitting the bill. I say, "Thanks guys for dinner. It was nice." Maya says, "Yeah thanks you guys didn't have to treat us." The boys smile and shrug. We walk back home talking about random stuff. Maya says, "I'll catch up with you guys later, I'm gonna go for a walk along the beach like old times." I say, "Okay have fun." And wave.
The boys and I watch some T.V. before falling asleep on the couch.

Boring chapter but the next one is gonna be full of drama! Bye! :)
