Fourty Five

Maya's POV:

I know she's pissed at me, but I'm NOT gonna let her walk off again. I sprint out of the house and I see her half way down the street. I run as fast as I can and jump onto her tackling her on someone's lawn. She yells at me angrily, "ARE YOU NUTS?" I wipe the tears off her face and help her up and say, "Riley. Listen, I told you it didn't mean anything! I was drunk, he was drunk. I wouldn't have done it if I was sober! You know that! I'm loyal to you and would never want to hurt you! Plus what would I want to do with a cowboy? Just please.. Please! Accept my apology. I'm sorry!" My voice cracks and gets shaky when I said the last sentence. She pushes her hair back and looks around. She says, "How do I know that you two didn't like it, or enjoy it? Then you two will start to like each other." I say loudly, "WHAT? You must be kidding now. You think I'd like Lucas? Riley I don't even remember the kiss. I love Josh and Lucas loves you. Last night won't change anything unless you make it...so are you still mad?" She says, "I don't know. I guess not." I pull her into a tight hug and say into her warm neck, "How about now?" She says, "Awh man you know I love a good hug." I say, "Riley I really am sorry. I know that you know it was nothing and it didn't mean anything to me." She sighs into my shoulder and says, "I do know." I pull away and wipe her tears.
We walk back to the house and find Lucas watching T.V. I slam the door behind us to get him to notice us. He stands right up and gives a worried look. He says, "Listen Maya. I-" I cut him off, "Shut up. Just talk to Riley." And push her over to him. She trips over the couch leg and he catches her bridal style. I smile and bite my lip. He says to Riley, "Riley. I swear I didn't mean any of it. Farkle told me what happened, and I'm sorry if I really hurt you. It meant nothing to me. I'm sorry-" she cut him off with a little peck on the lips and said, "I forgive you guys it's okay." He kisses her and smiles on her lips. Riley pulls away and sits down. Lucas puts his arm around her and holds her close.
I whistle and walk away with my hands behind my back. Riley quickly gets up and pulls me over to the couch and says, "Get over here, you." With a smile. I laugh back and she lays her head on mine. We watch some T.V. Till Farkle wakes up. He shuffles into the living kitchen and puts the tea pot on the stove. He asks, "Does anyone want any?" Riley and I say, "We'll have a cup." I say to Riley, "So today I'm gonna start to record some stuff on my own. I'm thinking I might leak a song at a few shows on tour. Is that a bad idea?" Her eyes light up and says, "No not at all! It's a nice treat for your fans. Just know that if one show hears, everyone will hear from all the videos people take." I say, "Okay. And you can be the first person to hear all of them!" She claps and says, "Yaaaay! Why don't you go record now?" I get up and say, "Why not is right! Let's go!" Upstairs in our house we had a recording booth and studio built. We're thinking of just making a whole new addition to our house so we can have more and bigger rooms since our lot is really big. It'd be a lot cheaper then moving out and building a new house. The people that lived here before us was a young couple in their early 20's. After weeks of having the house they moved out because it was "too big and too roomy". I wouldn't think that'd be a problem since they were filthy rich.
Riley and I step in the studio and I walk in the recording booth. Riley sits at the chair and puts headphones on so she can hear. I start to sing my new song I wrote. It's not completely done yet, but I want to know what it sounds like so I can build from that. Riley excitedly runs into the booth and screams at the top of her lungs, "HOLY WOW MAYA ITS PERFECT! YOU SOUND PERFECT! ITS SO.. YES!" I laugh and scream back mocking her, "WELL THANK YOU, RILEY!" We go back to the living room. Farkle says, "I heard screaming. Are you okay?" Riley and I laugh and I say, "Yeah we were joking around." Farkle jokingly rolls his eyes and says, "Well the tea is ready so you're just in time." Farkle pours us a cup of tea and we sit down on the couch. Lucas asks, "What were you guy's doing down there?" I say, "Well I-" Riley cut me off saying excitedly, "I GOT TO HEAR MAYA's NEW SONG!" Lucas' eyes widen and he turns towards me and says, "Can I hear it? PLEASE!" He gives me the puppy eyes. I roll my eyes and take his hand dragging him upstairs into the booth. I press play at the panel board.
Lucas nods his head to the song and when it's over he screams from excitement, "WOW MAYA ITS AWESOME!" And pulls me into a hug. At first I'm stiff because it's... Lucas. But I start to loosen up and wrap my arms back around him. His grip was strong and comforting. It felt nice since Josh was so far away.

Who else can't wait for Sabrina's new music? I wish I had a title to leak here, but she never said anything. Give me more drama filled chapter suggestions and I'll use them! Thanks bye!
