Seventy Four

Josh's POV:

Honesty it doesn't bother me that Maya kissed Lucas. I know she's very loyal to me plus I deserved it for what I did.
After we ate, we found a little hotel down the street and decided to stay the night. We went swimming in the pool and had a few drinks. Then we came back here and watched some tv. It's only 1:30am and Riley and Maya are already passed out on the couch.
I admire Maya's blonde curls and how they fit the shape of her face like a crown made just for her. And her soft, little, plump lips. And her petite body curled so perfectly. God I love her. I wanna shout it into the void. I love Maya Penelope Hart. Whenever I see her I just want to swoop her up and kiss her for eternity. How could I have ever been so dumb and ignorant to ignore her? Thinking about it, I kinda like how Maya always came off to me. It was brave and she never showed it when she got hurt. Can't forget about how she was always a smart ass about everything and how funny it was. And I love the rebellious side of her, which is ALL of her. She couldn't care any less about anything. Shes perfect.
I say aloud, "Guys it's only 1:30 wake up." No answer. Farkle says, "What should we do to them?" Lucas rummages through the drawer in the kitchen and holds up and marker with a sinister look on his face. I look at him and we both nod our heads.
I grab the marker out of Lucas' hand and say, "Me first. I'm gonna draw a dick on Maya's face." Lucas gasps and says, "No way bro she will LITERALLY kill you." I lick my lips and say, "Good. I like it when she gets like that." He gives a grossed out look and we laugh. I uncap the marker and slowly move it closer to Maya's cheek. I put the tip down and she doesn't move. I start to draw one circle, then the next, then I start for the tip. I move the marker upwards. Then out of no where, Maya lets out a snore and stirs around. The marker shot right across her nose. My eyes open wide and I cover my mouth. I whisper scream, "Fuck!" Lucas and Farkle start laughing as quietly as they can. I shake my head and say, "No no no no no. How can you be laughing? There's a black line across her whole face!" Maya cringes her nose and her eyes flutter open. My eyes meet with her gorgeous, mesmerizing, blue eyes. She immediately smiles and I grin back knowing I brought that beautiful smile of hers to her face. She says in a groggy voice, "What time is it?" I check my phone and say, "It's almost 2am." She says, "That's it?" I nod and say, "You and Riley were out by 1." She shakes her head and say, "Riley's gotten into me." I laugh and then turn to Lucas and mouth HELP ME. Lucas gives a head nod and says to Maya, "Actually we were all just gonna go to bed now anyway. Drinking got me feeling tired." Phew. I am NOT telling her about the drawing on her face. She says, "Uh. Okaaaayyy." I assure her, "No really. I'm gonna go to sleep now I feel beat." She shrugs and lays back down closing her eyes.
I wait a minute and slowly tip toe to the bedroom. When I get in I wipe fake sweat off my forehead and Lucas exhales in relief. He whispers, "What are we gonna do about it tomorrow when we're leaving?" I say, "Well even if there wasn't a huge black line across her face, I would just let her see it on her own so I'll just do that." Lucas says, "What if she never sees it?" I say, "Trust me. She will. Either in the bathroom or on her phone but she will look in some sort of reflection or mirror." After I say that, Farkle comes into the room and says, "Okay she's asleep." I fold my hands in praise and prayer and mouth thank you. I say, "Well I guess I really am gonna go to sleep so goodnight guys. See ya in the mornin when Maya wakes us all up screaming in our face." They laugh and say, "Goodnight."
