PHIL

Do I ask my one year old son about this, does he even know what a baby is and how could my little boy even know about Kate?

"Whose baby is that? " I ask him, trying my best to hide my nerves.
"You're so silly Daddy." He answers, now grabbing the blue crayon from the box and coloring in the sky on his picture.

"Is that Daddy's Baby?" I ask him softly almost in a whisper.

"Duh." He says, If he was older I could have sworn he would have rolled his eyes.

"What did we say about using that word?" I ask him semi-seriously.

"Sorry, Daddy." He says now smiling at me. "That's my little brother."

Now the only question I had to ask myself was, was the little brother real or imaginary to him?

ERICA
"Look he's bound to notice soon." I say somewhat softly into the massage tables headrest.

"He's barely been around lately." Derek says as he starts massaging my bare shoulders.

"He has been around more lately though, it seems like he is actually taking this marriage counciling stuff seriously."

"Well that makes one of you. " he says as his smooth hands glide down my back.

"I know I need to tell him soon. The doctor called back a few days ago with more news and if this one is anything like the last one, well.." I said with a yawn.

"I didn't want to say anything earlier but you look like crap." He says as his hands now rub gentle circles in my thighs.

"Thanks, Sweetie. That's just what I need to hear right now."

"Can you just wait one more week?"

"Why? Why does it matter? I thought we already had everything figured out. " I said almost sitting up, before he playfully forced me back on my stomach.

"I know, I know. It's just hard for me ya know?" He whispers in my ear.

"I know." I whisper back turning my head so I could kiss his lips gently.

"I love you, Erica."

"Me too."
