"Diaaanaaaa where are you?" This is my brother's voice.

"What's up?" I ask.

"I need your help with my homework. How do you spell 'dog'? With a k or a g?"

"With a g" I answer and go with him to his desk. "Sit down, Sam. What's your problem?"

"We should write a text about our pets and I don't know what to say about Nelly"

I sigh.

He always needs help. Maybe because he has just started school this summer and does not like it at all. In his opinion, we get homework because the teachers hate us. I know that this is not right but he does not understand that. What he says is right for him.

"You can write that Nelly is a Husky, a very big one and that her fur is black and white and she has blue eyes." I suggest.

But he is not satisfied. As always.

"No that's boring! Maybe I should write that she is a Killer Husky and Nelly can jump higher than the Big Ben and she can swim through the whole Thames!"

"No, Sam. You can't write that because that's not true. Write what I told you and let me go. I'm going to meet Rose now. Bye!"
I kiss him on his forehead and go back to my room to change my clothes.

After I took a shower and changed my clothes I go downstairs.
"Bye Mum, bye dad. I'll be back tomorrow!" I say and walk though the door until they are able to ask me where I am going. In my opinion they could be less solicitous but I think it is better to be too solicitous than not to give a shit about your own children. Like Rose's mother.
Her dad left them when she was a little kid but she never talks about that.

Now I am in front of the small flat she got herself a few weeks ago. She could not stand living with her mother in the same old house because they are so different and they always fight.
