When I arrive at school I go to our classroom.

I'm too late and everyone is already sitting on his or her chair.

"Good morning, Diana" my teacher says "You are too late, my dear." She points to the clock next to the door and after I said "Sorry" I sit down next to Rose.

"So Bella is the only one who is missing?"

Bella.

It still hurts to hear this name.

Bella. My former friend.

Bella. The reason for my break up with Victor.

Bella. The person I hate now.

Bella. The name which let me think about thousands of memories.

Bella. It's not just a name.

*** FLASHBACK ***

"Hello" the girl with the green pullover says shily "What's your name?"

"Diana" I answer and smile "And what's your name?"

"Bella" the girl answers "Do you want to play with me?"

I nod and we go to the sandbox.

"Let's build a sandcastle!" Bella suggests and while we're building a sandcastle two girls arrive.

I know one of them from the kindergarten and her name is Rose.

They sit down next to us and the other girl starts talking.

"Hello, my name is Leanne and this is my friend Rose. We want to play with you."

"I am Diana and this is Bella. We're building a sandcastle! Do you want to help us?" I say and they nod.

We build a veeeery big sandcastle and a few minutes later the bell rings.

My first day at school.

I'm very excited but I'm glad that I'm not alone.

We go to our parents and they help us to find our new classroom.

"Do you want to sit next to me?" Rose asks and I nod.

We sit down across from Bella and Leanne and our first lesson starts.

The teacher introduces herself and now it's our turn to say our name, age, hobbies and what we're looking forward to do at school.

We have to go to the front and I start.

"Hey, my name is Diana Collins, I am 5 years old and my hobbies are dancing and walking my grandmothers dog. One day we're gonna get our own dog!" I say "And I'm looking forward to learning how to write stories and how to calculate."

Then it's Rose's turn.

"Hi, my name is Rose and I'm 6 years old. I like riding my bike and I'm looking forward to the sport lessons."

After everyone introduced himself and herself we have a break and I play with Bella, Leanne and Rose again.

*** END OF THE FLASHBACK ***

"Diana? Are you listening to me?"

Oh shit!

"Of course I am, Mrs. Smith." I say quickly.

"Well, repeat what I just said."

"Um... sorry, but...I dunno... um..."

She looks at me and sighs. "Are you thinking about Leanne? I understand that, Diana. This is a difficult time for all of us. But life is going on. Leanne won't come back but she's still in your heart and she will always be. Never forget that."

She hands me a handkerchief and I start crying. I hate crying at school but at least Bella doesn't see me.

When the bell rings I realise that I didn't get anything Mrs. Smith told us.

Rose asks if I wanted to go to Louis' house to visit Louis and Zayn.

It would be a good distraction but I don't know how I should feel about Louis. On one hand he's very cute but on the other hand he can be unpredictable. I don't know if he's angry because he left so quickly.

"Roseeee! Diaaanaaa! Waaiiit!"

That's Niall's voice.

We turn around and Niall, Josh, Liam and his girlfriend Victoria come to us.

"What's up?" I ask and hope that they don't notice the tears in my eyes.

I miss Leanne so much.

But I'm not the only one. Rose is also crying.

"Do you wanna come to our party on Friday?" Niall questions and I wonder why they want to celebrate. I'm in a bad mood and I don't feel like celebrating.

"It's a party for our first anniversary" Liam explains and Victoria smiles.

It's a lovely occasion but I can't be happy and celebrate without Leanne.

Niall seems to be able to read my thoughts because he says "I'm sorry to say that, Diana, but being sad doesn't bring Leanne back. We're also sad but life must go on. And Leanne wouldn't want us to be sad."

"You're right" I agree and try to stop crying.

It's difficult but I imagine that Leanne is in my heart (and I'm sure she is!) and it makes it a bit easier.

"Okay." I say "We're gonna come to your party!"

"Great!" Victoria smiles and Liam adds "Friday, 8pm, at my house."
