Chapter 42

"No" I whisper "I won't go away. I love you, Louis."

He puts his hands on my waist.

My stomach flutters and I get dizzy.

Louis seems to be blurred and I lean my head back.

He comes closer and pushes me with his body against the wall.

I shiver and look up to him.

His eyes meet mine and I look away. I can't look into his eyes. I'm embarrassed for what I did.

"Now you know it" Louis whispers and I can feel his hot breath.

"What?" I ask quietly.

"The letter..."

"It's from your mother, isn't it?"

He nods.

"I feel so sorry for you..." I begin but he puts his finger on my lips.

"It is what it is. We never got on very well you know? I had always been into trouble... So the most time we spent together she was very angry about me."

I close my eyes and think about what he just said. If I try to imagine me and my mother being in this situation.... No! That's impossible. I love my mother and I know she loves me, too. But if Rose and her mother were in Louis' situation... that would be terrible. I know they don't get on very well but Rose wouldn't be happy again. Ever.

Louis puts his finger away from my lips and kisses me.

It's a very intensive kiss and I can feel the love between us.

I am so pleased he isn't angry anymore.

His hands are still on my waist and I put my arms around his neck.

We go to his bed and he sits down and pulls me onto his lap.

We go on kissing until my mobile phone rings.

Oh no...! Why now?

Whoever is calling me, why can't he wait?!

It's Rose.

"Oh no, Diana!" she sobs and cries "I need you! Now!"

Well, it seems like she can't wait. "I'll be there in 5 minutes!" I promise and hang up.

"Louis? I have to go now... Rose is crying and she told me that she needed me."

"Okay" Louis whispers sadly and kisses me for the last time.

"I'll visit you as soon as possible."

"I hope so" I smile and leave.

Five minutes later I arrive at Rose's flat.

"What's up, Rose?" I ask when I see the tears in her eyes.

"Leanne's mother called me" she cries.

"Oh my god! Leanne! Oh no! What happened to her? Please say she's okay!" I beg but Rose shakes her head and tells me the worst new I've ever heard.

"Leanne is..." she stutters "...Leanne... she is... dead."

"NOOOOOO" I scream and start crying.

"LEANNEE!"

"Oh no!! Why? Why Leanne? Oh no..."

I've never felt like this before. Now I know how Louis felt when he got the letter from his mother...

Oh no...

My little Leanne...

My friend...

One of my best friends...

The one who helped me when I didn't know what to do...

The one who comforted me when I was sad...

The one who was always there for me...

The one who I've known since we were young girls...

I miss her...

And I can't believe what happened to her... and why.

"Why Rose? Why?" I cry.

"I don't know..." she whispers "But she was... she was... Leanne... was... killed."

"What the hell?!" I scream "Who killed her?! WHO THE HELL DID THAT TO HER? WHY LEANNE?! OH NO! OUR BEST FRIEND!"

And the pain in my heart grows and grows...
