Desperation.

Chapter 33

Sorry for not updating every day but I'm gonna write many exams in the next month and I have to practice very much... But I try to write long chapters at the weekend! This chapter is so short... sorry, guys! The next one will be muuuuuch longer - I promise! And I hope you aren't angry that I can't post a new chapter every day, but I try to make it every second day!

And despite these facts I hope you enjoy reading my story (and this veeeery short chapter :( sorry again!)

"Call the ambulance!" I hear a voice and it feels like I am under water. I understand it heavily and I can't see anyone.

"Who's that girl?" The voices seem to be a dream. But they aren't. I can open my eyes a bit but it's still difficult.

"She's alive" someone shouts.

Oh god, this is too loud. My ears hurt.

Everything I see is blurred. Where am I?

I hear many voices but I can't understand anything.

Too loud.

I am too weak.

Then I remember something.

I was here with Jason.

What did he do?

Why have I been powerless?

"Do you hear me?" a quiet voice asks.

I take a deep breath and try to nod.

It's hard but I make it.

"Are you okay?" another voice says.

I nod again.

Hell, why is that exhausting?

I'm just nodding and breathing.

Now I can hear the ambulance and I put my hands on my ears. They're just way too loud.

One man talks to the voices that talked to me and the people seem to say something.

Then the man comes over to me and looks at me.

"How are you?"

I want to answer but there's no reaction in my whole body.

"Can you hear me?"

I nod.

That's so exhausting.

He and some other men from the ambulance take me to the hospital and I close my eyes to save my energy.

When I wake up at the hospital they ask me what's wrong and what happened.

But - however I try to remember - I just see Jason and me at the Sandall Park...

"I was at the Sandall Park..." I say and my neck is dry. I can't breathe very well but I try to speak.

"With a friend... Jason... I don't remember anything after that"

"You have been behind a bush"

"I don't know why"

"Do you remember anything else?"

"Um... I saw the police... and Jason pulled me to that bush. That's it."

"Is this Jason aggressive?"

"No, I don't think so."

"Do you feel better?"

I nod. These questions are difficult to answer but I can breathe and see and hear everything.

"While you were sleeping we looked up what's wrong with you or your body.

It seems like someone choked you. Your neck is red and you have a bruise there.

Does your neck hurt while you are speaking?"

"It's just a bit dry."

"Okay." The man who is probably the doctor goes to his assistant and says something.

After a minute she comes back with a glass of water.

"Thanks" I cough.
