Chapter 29

I go to the kitchen and Zayn asks "Do you want a coffee?"

"No, thanks" I answer and turn around to see if Rose is there.

Zayn seems to be able to read my thoughts because he says "Rose is still sleeping. But if you want to wake her up you can go upstairs. She's in my room."

I go upstairs and Rose lays in Zayn's bed.

"Rose?" I ask.

She opens her eyes slowly and looks at me.

"What's up?"

"I have to talk to you."

"Go ahead!"

"Okay. Just a moment" I go back to Louis' room and take my jeans.

Shit! The note isn't in my pocket anymore!

I look at the floor and reach under the bed and the desk and the wardrobe but I can't find it anywhere.

Louis must have taken it and hid it!

Oh no!

I go back to Rose and sit down next to her on Zayn's bed and start telling her about the note "Do you remember that Louis was too late yesterday? He said that he would tell my the reason later but before we went to bed he was drunk so he told me some shit about me coming to his university... And I needed a pajama and then I knocked on your - Zayn's - door but nobody told me to come in so I searched for a pajama in the guest's room. There I found a note. It said something like 'Come to the Sandall Park at 7pm' or so. I don't know who wanted him to come to the Sandall Park and I don't know why.
But I put the note into my pocket and I decided to ask him about the note today. But I looked for it just now and it wasn't there anymore..."

I take a deep breath and Rose looks at me sleepily.

"Sounds strange." are the only words she says.

"What should I do now?" I ask desperately.

"If I was you I'd wait until he tells me about the note and the mysterious meeting. And if he doesn't do that you have to ask him about that. A good relationship has no secrets."

"I don't even know if we're in a relationship. We never talk about that. We just... love each other. Umm... I hope so in any case."

She nods. "He seems to love you. Have you ever noticed the way he looks at you? His glance is full of love."

I smile and hope that she's right.

"Let's go downstairs" I suggest and Rose stands up.

When we arrive in the kitchen Louis and Zayn are drinking coffee.

Rose kisses Zayn and I go to Louis but he doesn't look at me.

"Louis?" I say but he doesn't answer.

Oh no. Now I'm sure that he found the note. Why does he look into my pocket?

"Good morning" I say to break the silence.

Nobody says anything.

"Louis! Talk to me!"

"Why should I? What the hell is wrong with you? You look into our wardrobe and then you read a note which is only for me! And as if that wasn't enough you steal it and act like nothing happened!"

Rose and Zayn are shocked and so am I.

"Louis, you completely forgot about what you did! You were too late for my birthday and you met a stranger! Then you drank and drank and drank and talked shit although you promised to tell me the truth! And today you looked into my pocket and now you want to ignore me?!"

Zayn looks from Louis to me and mumbles "I think we should go." He pulls Rose with him and Louis takes a sip from his coffee.

"Why do you want to know what I did yesterday?"

"Because I love you and I don't want you to cheat on me. Just like Victor did."

"I can't cheat on you because we aren't together. I'm a free person and I can do what I want to do. Don't tell me what I have to say or do."

"So you just told me that you cheated on me and you don't feel sorry for hurting my feelings that way? Who is the girl you met at the entrance of the Sandall Park? - Okay stop - I bet it was Bella, wasn't it? Tell me the truth, Louis, tell me the fucking truth!"

"I didn't cheat on you! That is the fucking truth!"

"Oh sorry I forgot that we aren't together so you can't cheat on me! So who was the girl you met yesterday? Who was the girl who is more important than my 18th birthday?!"

"There was no girl, don't you understand that?! I met someone else!"

"You're gay?" I ask surprised.

"Hell no!"

"So what did you do there?!"

"That's none of your business!"
