Marco pov
She stood there with legs, not a tail or even scaly like she really was "What are you doing here?" She walked towards me wobbling as I caught her she giggled "I'm not used to this..its so new" I had so many questions as I carried her near the Pier

"Well, I decided to come and see you" I smiled and blushed as I look at her "But what about your kingdom?" She sighs "My kingdom is fine, I'm lonely Marco, years passing by ruling a palace that has been the same since I was born, I also missed you too"

she leans closer and I move a bit "What's wrong?" She asked "I don't want to just kiss you and never see you again, why don't you stay here with me" she held a worry look "I can't stay on land Marco" "Well I can't go to your kingdom because I'll drown again" we both sigh

"if only I was able to turn you into a mermaid" I gave her an odd look "Um, what?" She looks at me and smirks "I'm magical but not strong enough to turn a person into what I am" "Then how did you get legs?"

"I drank a potion, I only have until midnight to get back home" I sigh "Then why did you come back? I've been waiting for you for almost 3 years and you come back for a limited amount of time" star groans

"I thought you'd be happy to see me?" I shake my head "I am but also hurt because your leaving forever again" she smirked and pulled me into the deep water I was freaking out and she kissed me giving me air to breathe "Where are we going?"

She pulled me and we swam into a underwater cave as we got out there was a person "Alana I need your advice" as I coughed I looked at the two girls who were talking "Hello, who is he?" "The boy I fell in love with, he's human" she had a worried expression "It's against the rules"

"I love him, and I won't return home unless he's with me" I was really confused until I realized she wanted me to rule the kingdom with her "Wait a second, what are you doing?"

"Finding a potion to turn you into a mermaid, so we can be together forever" she said excitedly but I was a little uneasy "Star, have you even thought what I would feel?" Her smile fades as she lets my hand go

"No, because I only cared about myself, I'm sorry Marco" I held her face and kissed her "Its okay and I don't really know how to swim well" she giggles "Its okay, would you consider being a mermaid for me?"

I sigh and looked at the woman who held the potion "Give me an hour" she nods and we leave with the potion that will change me into mermaid forever "Let me say goodbye to my parents"

As we ran towards my family home my parents were laying on the couch as I entered "Marco, what's going on?" I hugged them both "I'm travelling over sea with the girl I fell for years ago, I wanted to say bye because I don't know how long I will be gone for, so I hope you take care"

they smiled and hugged me tight "As long as your happy Marco, we will always love you" I began to tear up as they held on me "Have a fun adventure you two? How come I never heard of you?" "Oh I'm from-"

"from another part of the world, thats why and also our relationship is secret her parents don't know about us" I covered her mouth as she slipped away "Well please don't get into trouble, your grown adults now" I nod

"Yes mom, well I better get going before our boat leaves"  "boat? We never got-" "Star stop being so silly of course we did" she gave me a confused look and ignored me after "Okay, well take care you two" I said my farewells as we walked away

"Your parents seem nice, no wonder you care to be here" I nod "Yeah, hey will there be a chance of me seeing them once and awhile?" She nods "I'll promise you, you will be able to see them"

I smiled and pulled star closer as we reached the pier, star turned back to a mermaid and jumped in. I took the bottle out and took it. It tasted nasty and rough as finished it I fell backwards noticing my blue tail, it was long and weird

"This feels weird and is weird" star helped me as she jumped back and help me move into the water "Okay, now I'm gonna show you the basics of swimming like me" I nodded a little out of place "Okay"

after showing me, she held my hand as we swam to her kingdom,  it was huge and her palace was even more gigantic "This is where you live?" She nods as we get to the castle her parents looked at me and her "Star, where have you been and who is this?"

I was a little nervous "Mom, dad this is Marco the merman I was talking about, he's the one I've been seeing quite a bit until I had to take your crown" she nods and looks at me "You don't really look like us, where's his extra gil? All males have them" I was seriously gonna get her in trouble

"Alright, you got me.. mom Marco is a human"  "What?!" Both her parents gasped "I knew you wouldn't approve because he's an air breather and we are water dwellers but we clicked when I rescued him all those years ago" she groans a bit

"Is this true? Star saved your life?" I nodded "She did, I thought I was going to die but she saved me, and I'm grateful for that, I rather be here with her then up there where I have to plan to do for the rest of my life. I rather spend it down here with her"

star blushed as she pressed her forehead against mine "Seems the human boy speaks truth, look at that light in stars eyes, shes found her mate for life"

I looked into her eyes and saw how bluer they were "Your right, well I'll allow this considering your her mate" star held on me and spun us, which was weird until she kissed me "Mates for life" I smiled "Mates for life"
