Patton's POV:

Don't expect me to explain to you why this had me so bothered okay? But Logan said he didn't have time to hang out with me, and something about the way he said it made me feel... weird. Even though I know it's not true, I feel like he hates me, or that I just annoy him... Which really sucks because I really like him... if you know what I mean.

I let out a sigh as I walked down the hall, heading to the kitchen. I felt like I needed a cookie... probably two because of how bad I feel...

Virgil's POV:

I looked up as Patton entered the kitchen. He looked upset for a split second before returning to normal. Anyone else wouldn't have even noticed, but I'm extremely observant. I decided not to question it however, knowing there was always a small chance I was wrong. Maybe he was just tired after a rough day and he was fine.

"Hey Kiddo!" he said, ruffling my hair a little as he passed me on the way to the cabinet. I gave him an annoyed look, although I didn't actually mind that much... it was kinda comforting...

I didn't respond as he opened the cabinet and grabbed the cookies he had stashed up there. He sat down with it at the table. From my place on the counter, I looked up occasionally from my phone. He had taken a cookie and was eating it slowly, looking lost in thought. I was confused by how distant he looked, but chose to once again ignore it. It wasn't my business, especially because I could be overthinking it-

My thought stopped as he reached for a second cookie. That... That was how I knew something was wrong. "Uh, hey Patton?" I spoke up hesitantly. He looked up, a typical wide smile on his face. "Are you okay?"

His smile faltered a little. "O-Of course Kiddo!"

I raised an eyebrow at him, looking down at the second cookie and back up at him. He sighed, shaking his head a little. "Do you want to talk about it?" I asked a little uncomfortably. I wasn't very good at these things.

"Not here," he said, gesturing to the kitchen. "Here, we can go to my room."

I nodded, hopping off the counter and sneakily grabbing a cookie before he put them away. He turned around from the cabinet and smiled as I bit into the cookie, shaking his head a little. I followed him to his room where he flopped on the bed and let out a long sigh.

"So what's up?" I asked, sitting next to him.

"It's something stupid really," he mumbled, sitting up. "I wanted to spend time with Logan cause you know..."

He blushed as I smirked a little, nodding in understanding. He sighed again. "Well, when I went and asked him, he was really really busy and said he couldn't, but the way he worded it kinda made me feel... upset."

"Well, how did he say it?" I asked, tilting my head to the side curiously.

"It was something like, 'I don't have time to mess around with you Patton' and I don't know... it just got under my skin and now I'm paranoid..."

I frowned. "That sounds like Logan was stressed and wasn't thinking about what he was saying," I said, placing a hand hesitantly on his shoulder. "I'm sure he didn't mean anything by it. In fact," I leaned closer to whisper, "I think he likes you back."

Patton's eyes lit up. "Really?!" he exclaimed before quieting his voice. "How do you know?!"

I smiled. "He blushes every time you get close to him."

"Really?!" he asked, smiling with a bright pink blush on his own face. "Thank you Kiddo."

I froze as he hugged me tightly. I found myself slowly smiling and hugging him back. "Anytime Dad," I said quietly. I hear him gasp as he pulled away.
