Part 2 to No. 30. Miscarriage

"Yes. Yes I know. I just need another week off again." I hear Tom say speaking on the phone as he pace around the room. I slowly try to move to a sitting position but fails. "Ouch." I say clutching onto my belly. Tom hungs up his call immedietly and runs to help me. "You alright?" He asks concerned. I nod my head. "Bathroom?" He asks. I nod again. Talking has become a hard thing to do. No words. Nothing. Just tears.

"I made lunch." Tom says holding a plate of pasta. I shake my head. "Babe, I know you are very down and in pain but I really want you to eat something." He says. "It hurts." I whisper. "Baby, I know." He says hugging me. "Let me know if you need anythin. I'll be in the living room." Tom says leaving a kiss on my forehead.

"Hi Mom." I say answering the door. "How is she?" She asks. "Not good. She isn't talking. She isn't eating. She doesn't even get out of the room." I reply sadly. "She is gonna take a lot of time. Its hard to get over it easily. A mother has a deep connection with her child. She's in a lot of pain right now but she will be alright." She says. I couldn't help but cry a little.

"Hey Y/n. I made you some soup. Did you ready have lunch?" She asks holding a bowl of soup just find an untouched plate of her lunch next to her. "Tom you can take this." She says handing me the plate. I take it back to the kitchen giving them some time but me being the curious one stood by the door listening.

"I know its really hard but its not your fault. These things happen and you have to be very brave. I know you are a very brave girl." I hear her say. A small conversation and I run after I here her get up.

"She'll be fine soon." She says. "I have tk go pick Paddy now. Bye. Oh and Tom, take good care of her." She says leaving.

"Can I have some tea?" I hear Y/n's soft voice a few feet behind me. She was trying hard to stand straight. I run to her, helping her on the sofa before replying a yes. I make two cups of tea and keep them on the coffee table. "Nothing good on the TV." She says pouting. I smile. Its been so long since I last heard her voice. "I love you so much Y/n." I say kissing her forehead. She rests her head on my shoulder.
