Tom had agreed to help you around the city the moment you get out of the airport. "We'll go for lunch first and then a small tour and then drop you off to your new apartment." Tom says excited. "Sounds lovely." You reply with your thick British accent to which Tom chuckles. "Oi!" You say out loud at him for laughing at you. "Mine sounds cuter." He says laughing more as he sits behind the wheel.
"There's a martial arts studio right on your block right?" Tom asks. "Yes. I have actually joined that place already." You reply going through your emails as Tom drive into the city. "I'm gonna stay here in Malibu for a while until you get settled in. I'm off from work for a while so I can do some sightseeing and teach you." Tom says.
Lunch was at a small fancy cafe. "It's different." You say looking around. "It's California!" Tom says. He had on a poor disguise and changed his accent with a deep voice. "It doesn't suit you." You say joking. "Oi!" He says joking back.
"When does the filming start?" Tom asks. "Um, tomorrow." You reply. "So you got today to practice a little. Who else is in it?" He asks curiously. "Rami Malek-" You begin to speak but gets interrupted by Tom. "What? Oooh." He says giving you a look. You had once watched a movie of him with Tom and said how you liked Rami in that particular character.
-a few months later-
You had gone out on a fee dates with Rami now and you both seems to have a liking to each other. You have never told anyone about it yet. You felt nervous. A few pictures began to surface around the internet from your last date. You had your face covered with your hat and only Rami was seen clearly.
Tom immediately calls you. "So?" He asks. "So what?" You ask back. "You seem chill that your celebrity crush is out dating someone else. You were so close to him. What happened girl?" He asks. Tom had to lave a week early for work and that was when the dating started. "I'm doing alright Tom. Really good actually." You reply as casually as you could. "That's odd. You rarely say that." Tom says making you panic a little. "Something really happened." He says when you don't reply. "Yeah. My first acting job." You say with a huff. "Yeah you are right. Anyways, I'll call later." He says hanging up.
That night as you were about to sleep your phone lights up with dozens of messages from Tom. He had sent several close up screenshots of the date pictures. "It's you! Oh my gosh!! Why didn't you tell me?" He texts. Tom had spot the friendship bracelet on your right hand in the pictures. Now there was no denying. "We were taking things slow. It was just a date." You text back.
Tom: *JUST A DATE!!?! Its not just A DATE, y/n. It's a date with Rami Malek!*
Y/n: *Yes. I wanted to take things slow.*
Tom: *lies. He already asked you to be his girlfriend!*
Y/n: *......*
Tom: *SPILL IT ALL!!*
You sit up against the bed knowing it could be a long night. You were glad the next day was an off day.
Y/n: *Okay so, after filing he asked if I wanted to go grab a drink and I said yes. That's how it started.*
Tom: *Details y/n. Details!!*
Y/n: *We just went to a small place by the beach had a drink, watched the sunset and walked by the beach. Then he dropped me off home. Then the other dates followed.*
Tom: *Yes, go on. So those pictures were right after you guys got together as a couple?*
Y/n: *Um, yeah. A couple months.*
Tom: *So, when are you going to tell the fans about it?*
Y/n: *We haven't really talked about that. Like I said, we are taking things slow.*
Tom: *Yes I know. I gotta go.*
You and Rami had talked about when the right time would be to go public and you both had decided to just maybe pop up at the movie premiere together. It was 3 months away. I
You had gotten little sleep because of Tom but you were happy to wake up to your off day. You get freshened and make yourself breakfast.
"Hello?" You answer your phone. "Hello beautiful. Want to hang at the martial studio?" Rami asks. "You know me so well. You bet I do." You say with a small smile before hanging up.
The studio was empty except for a few people in the corner practicing kung-fu. "Right on time. I'm a minute late." Rami says joining you as you adjusted your headband. He had on a disguise and so did you too. Using up the wigs from the costume and make-up department. "I can show you some tricks." He says before performing.
"Impressive." You respond before showing him a better act topping his performance. "You really good at all this. Even gun shooting that day." He says impressed with you.
Couple of weeks later and you were about to pack again. Filming was coming to an end and you wanted to move to London for a while. You and Rami were still going strong. A self-love vacation. "You can always keep some when you go and if you want anything then I can just send it to you." Rami says drawing small smiley faces on the corner of the boxes. "Yeah I suppose that would work too but you live far from here." You say. "Or you could make Tom do it." He says to which you laugh. "His interview is about to start." You say walking to the living room.
Tom had finished filming for a short movie and had started with the promotions. "Your best friend has also landed on an acting job. How is that going on? any battles?" The interviewer asks Tom. "Nothing like that yet." Tom says with a chuckle. The interviewer kept on asking several questions that made you lose focus on for seconds until Tom had mentioned the secret relationship. "Oops." Tom says covering his mouth. "It's a live interview!!" You say freaking out. "Calm down love. Let's see what the boy does." Rami says. "In the movie they do make a lovely couple. I agree with that." The interviewer says thinking if Tom was talking about the movie. You could hear him say 'phew' softly as he kept his water bottle on the ground. "He really can't keep a secret right?" Rami says with a laugh. "Yeah. I had that coming the moment I told him about us." You say with a chuckle.
"Well we still got the movie premiere." Rami says giving you a hug and a kiss.
