You carry your small takeaway bag with the freshly baked buns along with a few fresh flowers to decorate your dining table. You moved to a new part of the city. A quieter area that helped you calmed down with your thoughts.
It was 9am and you were preparing to have a lovely breakfast all by yourself just like every other day. As you sat waiting for your hot cup of coffee to warm. Three cookies neatly arranged near the cup on the plate.
Knocks on the door made you freeze until the knocks became familiar. Opening the door you face with Peter. "Can I come in?" He asks. "Yeah sure." You say letting him in. You worked with Peter on a couple of projects before deciding to take a break after an event went wrong. "When you said you moved this isn't really what I was expecting. It's an... interesting aesthetic." Peter says looking around and joining you at the table.
You knew why exactly Peter was there. Clearly he had something that could not be said over the phone but face to face. You make him a cup of coffee and put it by him. "It's too early in the morning for this. Tell me about the apocalypse after coffee." You say. He stays quiet as he just waited and stare at you take your time having breakfast.
"This can't wait any longer. There is this new guy. He's super strong and I just need you to document some information on this guy. Mysterio or something." He says in one breath. You give him a stare and goes back to eating your cookie. "Please. I need them soon." He says. "I have plans that day... I know you didn't tell me what day it was but... I... have plans all days so..." you say interrupting him and clearly not wanting to do any superhero business. "You are like hiding here. You don't have plans." Peter says with a frown.
You glare at him. "I know you miss it. It was fun." He says trying to persuade you to help him. "I'll think about it." You say. "Great. I'll drop by again. Soon." He says leaving you but stops and turns around to look at you. "I um, also have been wondering if, um, we could work on things again. I miss you a lot." Peter says with a small smile. You give him a weak smile in return.
