"Hello Y/n, say um, where will you be at this time of the day?" Peter asks as he held onto the window frame of his school bus. "Uh, the usual. The bookstore." You reply placing a couple of books on the shelf. A loud noise from outside made the whole building shake, causing some shelfs to fall down. "Peter what's going on?" You ask into the phone but he as already hung up.
You walk out the store as the others did the same. Everyone confused and scared. You stand on the sidewalk as rocks begin to fly off from the road. Cars getting crashed to buildings. People running away from fear. Everything a blur with the dust.
Your heart starts to beat faster. You had a necklace with a special stone Peter had given to take care of just for a few days. Suddenly a lamppost falls down near you causing you to scream and fall down. That was a terrible mistake as it caught the attention of Maw like as if it was a familiar scream. You figured out it was the stone he wanted and hoped that Peter would come any minute. Bricks from the building started to crumble down as you watched in fear. A flying cape caused a distraction giving you the opportunity to run into the store tripping over and hitting your head on a brick in a hurry. You softly curse under your breath getting up to hide behind the counter before blacking out.
Peter was busy fighting off Obsidion with Tony. "Mr.Stark, I have to go find Y/n." He says as he finds the horror on the road.
He finally manages to find you in the store hugging your knees close to your chest with several bruises. He felt bad for not being there earlier to protect you.
You awoke to a pair of arms under your legs you up. "P- Peter?" You ask softly trying to adjust your eyes to the light. "Hey, hey, calm down. They can't hurt you anymore." Peter says putting you down on the bed. "You carried me home?" You ask. "Well I, uh, yeah. You had a cut on your forehead so I cleaned it up and got you home safely." He says with a smile.
"You still got the stone?" He asks. "Yeah. A flying cape distracted and I escaped." You say with a laugh but Peter didn't laugh. He leaned forward to take the necklace off. "It's too dangerous. I shouldn't have done it in the first place." He says putting the stone in his pocket. "Peter, it's okay." You say. "No it's not but I'm glad you are safe. For now." He says hugging you with sadness in his voice.
