You sit alone quietly staring at your cereal bowl. "Bad morning?" You hear Natasha ask as she joins you at the table. "It's, it's Peter." You say softly not looking up at her. "What did he do? Should I go beat him up?" She asks. "He kissed another girl and I told him I wouldn't erase his memory." You say. "Good. He deserves to live with what he has done to hurt you. That would help him think twice before doing anything like that." She says reading something off the milk carton. "This sticky note says This milk carton belongs to Steve." She reads. "Well I don't really live here and Steve would probably be okay me taking some of the milk." You say. She quickly puts back the carton in the fridge.
"Why have you guys gone so silent suddenly?" Steve asks walking into the dining area. "Just thinking." You say wiping the corner of your lip. "Where's Peter?" He asks. "He's still sleeping." You reply.
Peter was up crying and apologizing to you. He had fallen asleep around 5am when hugged him to stop sobbing. It hurts to see him like this but it also hurts that you could still see what happened at the party. "We have to continue with the mission from last night." Steve says shaking his milk carton as it has gotten lighter. "What do we have to do?" You ask. "We would need Peter too." He says. "I'll wake him up." You say getting up to go to the room.
"Hey. Steve wants us to finish the mission. You can come back and sleep later." You say caressing his tear stained cheek. "I don't feel like going on the mission." He says softly. His voice cracking. "It will be over soon." You say. "I can't. I can't hurt you again. Even if you have forgiven me, I can't forget about how I have hurt you." He says starting to cry again. "Let's go." You say getting up and walking towards the meeting area.
Tony was ready with his mini mission presentation. "You finally made it kid." He says as he sees Peter come in to the room avoiding to look at anyone. He stands across from you next to Steve. "Peter, you have to distract these two girls from their main guest." Tony says showing two pictures of the girls that looked so familiar. "I- I can't." Peter says taking a quick glance at you. "You don't have to go and make out or flirt with them. Just ask them a simple question." Tony says unaware of anything that had happened the previous night. "How many parties does she need to have?" Natasha asks bored with wearing formal wear to those missions. "It's her thing I suppose. This guy was supposed to come with the rest of them but changed his date to tonight. Y/n, you have to start a conversation with him and erase his memories of why he was attending the party for and boom there will be no business deal." He says executing his plan. Peter still hesitant to being with the girls again but didn't say anything again.
You all dress up and drive to the party venue. "I can't do it." Peter says sulked down in to the corner of he backseat in a corner. "I can distract the girls. You don't have to." Natasha says looking back from the passengers seat at us. "I still can't." He says. "We'll be back soon." You say opening the door to get out but Peter holds your arm stopping you. You turn around to see his eyes watery and filled with guilt. You lean in closer to him giving a small kiss to his cheeks. "I hate to see you like this." You say in a whisper only loud enough for him to hear.
The party was more quiet than the other one. You stood in the balcony looking at the road to see the car parked in its hiding spot. Natasha was speaking to one girl that rose your curiosity. As you were looking around the room panicked the targeted man approaches you. "You look familiar." He says. "I have appeared on some magazines." You lie. Going on undercover missions meant that you had to sometimes dress up as a famous person. "Maybe yeah. Are you alone here?" He asks leaning to a side on the balcony railing. "No. I'm with a friend." You say.
As you chit chatted and slowly kept erasing his memory, you spot a girl walking towards the hiding spot. Your heart begins to beat faster. You quickly erase his memory making him look at you confused. "I have to go now." You say giving him a small smile and rushing towards the door. The tapping of your heels on the floor getting louder and louder. Once outside the doo you remove your heels and messes up your styles hair. With your feet free from the painful heels you run towards the car almost tripping over your dress.
"Peter?" You ask as you see him standing next to the car. He moves his hand to cover your mouth and pull you towards a tree. "Babe, that was not the guy. That is the one." He says in a whisper pointing at a bald man who had gotten out of the car. You call and signal Natasha and Steve to end the mission inside and follow it outside.
You both hide and watch as they both finish the mission. "Can I um, can I walk you home?" Peter asks as Steve and Nat stand by the car waiting for you two. Your apartment was just a fee blocks away. "Sure." You reply. You said goodnight to them as they drive off. "Wait." Peter says taking his shoes off. "It's comfy." He says helping you put on his shoes. He takes your heels from you and holds you hand with his free hand as you both start to walk. "I'm still very sorry." He says. "I forgive. Stop apologizing so much." You say. "I can't stop. I hurt the girl I love the most but I know I will love her even more. I will not hurt you again. I'll be careful." He says giving a soft kiss to your forehead.
