Tom sits at the coffee table in the living room with one light on. He was busy typing and reading over his sentences on his laptop. It was way past midnight as he sits alone. Tired from a busy day at filming.
Whimpers from the baby softly echoed through the quiet apartment. Closing his laptop he gets up to attend the baby. "Daddy got you. Don't cry okay?" He says picking up the baby from the crib hoping to not wake you up in the next room. He slowly rocks the baby to sleep but instead the infant begins to squirm his/her small arms and legs in Tom's hold. "Let's get you the baby bottle. You have been getting hungry a lot lately huh." He says speaking to the 3 month old baby, Noah, as he softly moves the baby up to kiss on the forehead.
He makes his way into the kitchen picking up the baby bottle and waits till it heats up. "Wait a few minutes okay." He says. Noah was wide awake and looking at Tom now. He chuckles as he looks down to see him staring at him. A smile appears on the baby's face seeing his dad smile.
"We have to wait for your midnight snack to cool down a bit." He says sitting down on the sofa with the baby bottle. "You wake mommy up a lot. Don't you." He says to which the baby smiles more. "Well don't give her much trouble when I'm not around okay?" He says holding the baby's small hand. Tom puts some milk on his wrist to see the temperature of it before serving it to the baby. "Slowly." He says.
After the baby was done with the baby bottle, Tom carefully puts Noah over his shoulder patting the back of the him to make Noah burp. Unfortunately it led the baby to puke with the burp. "Okay I'm still not good with that." He says. Noah begins to cry with the little incident. "Ssshh. It's okay. You'll be all good after I get you cleaned up and put into clean clothes." He says.
He cleans up Noah and put him into clean clothes. He puts Noah back in his crib. He was starting to get sleepy again. Tom waits a fee minutes to see if Noah was falling back asleep. When he thought it was safe to leave him alone, he quietly makes his way into the bedroom to change into a clean t-shirt.
He walks back into Noah's room to find him wide awake again. Picking him up Tom takes Noah into the living room. He lays down with the baby over his chest softly rubbing Noah's back. Soon they both fall asleep.
The next morning you wake up the usual time. The time when Noah's cries would wake you up which you were used to by now. You double check the time confused and gets out of bed to check upon the quiet apartment. Pulling your hair in a messy bun you see Noah's room door open and no sign of the baby. Walking towards the living room you spot Tom and Noah fast asleep on the sofa. The baby was peacefully sleeping on his chest. Tom had his hands around the baby. The empty baby bottle was still on the coffee table. You smile at the sight of your two favourite boys sleeping.
