"A gift from Marquess of Bath, Your Highness." Daimler, the Royal Advisor says as he brings in another gift.
"What is it?" You ask Leo as he stood by the door glaring at another gift, unimpressed. "Cups. I'm so glad that word of my fondness for crockery has reached the ears of His Lordship." He says closing the lid and putting it away with the rest of the gifts you both have been receiving with the arrival of the baby. "Quiet a lot of those." You respond with a chuckle. "I suppose. We got enough to fill the whole cabinet down the hallway." Leo says.
"Daimler, I have decided what I'd like from my mother. I wish to leave the palace." Leo says once you have left to attend a service in another room. "I'm afraid Her Majesty won't allow that, sir. An unpleasant move to be doing at an event such as this." Daimler says. "Tell my mother that I wish, that I need to leave the palace. Just for one day. It's all I wish for." Leo says hoping to please his Royal Advisor with his words.
Daimler leaves the room knowing that the prince wasn't going to give in to his lectures. "Darling, the evening tea is about to be served." You speak as you carried the infant child in your arms. "Splendid." Leo says turning around to find you adjusting the blanket.
The event was quiet with guests well wishing on the new family and adoring with their fondness of the small child. However, Leo wasn't himself at tea. He would rest his hand on your lower back as you walked around, often chuckling to somethings the guests would speak of. "Excuse me." Leo says excusing himself out to the garden. You spot him to speak to Daimler and return back inside again.
"Everything alright, dear?" You question as he reaches up to you. "Of course darling. Everything is perfect." He says with a small light peck on your cheek. "I have to attend some unfinished business. I will see you afterwards." He says assuring you of his return as he caressed the cheeks of the sleeping infant.
"When I asked to leave the palace, I meant that I wanted to see the city." Leo says disappointed as he was joined by with Daimler in the carriage. "The city is a hard place, sir. It's not for those with a delicate constitution." He says averting his gaze out to the carriage window. "You have got something else on your mind, sir." Daimler says knowing Leo was up to something. "I read about a seamstress here. I wanted to come here myself to buy a gift for the mother of my child." Leo says looking at Daimler.
"We could have dealt with your request, Sir. After all we do that all the time Your Highness." Daimler says trying to prove how pointless it was for the prince to leave the palace like that. "I understand but I want to purchase a pick of my own. Something personal and meaningful." Leo replies as how much he had wanted to do something special. Before anyone could further continue with the conversation, the carriage comes to a halt. Daimler quickly gets off the carriage. "Young lady how dare you talk to yours betters in that manner." He says in disbelief. An argument arises as Leo pokes his head out of the window slightly to see what was going on. He leans in back as the young girl makes Daimler return to the carriage. "I'm afraid that is enough for our trip here. Your request at the seamstress will be well taken care of, sir." He says seating in front of Leo. "No. I wished to be taken to the seamstress." Leo says trying not to raise his voice. "I understand sir but your safety is my concern now." Daimler speaks back making the young prince sink back in his seat feeling rather gloomy.
"Why do you look so gloomy?" You question as Leo arrives back into the room. "It's nothing. Work has been rather dreadful." He says with a lie. Dinner was about to be served and you wait until Leo was freshened up.
