"Wake up," someone whispered.
"No," you groaned, burrowing under the blankets.
"C'mon get up, you love meeeeeee!" it insisted.
"Aidan, go away I don't like you."
"Sure you don't," he laughed, crawling under the sheets with you. You made a face at him and he laughed, kissing your nose.
"Ewe, morning breath!" you exclaimed, shoving him away. He laughed again and wrapped his arms around you.
"We were going to make a blanket fort today," he whined, slipping his fingers into yours.
"Yeah, later. It's too early."
"It's 1 in the afternoon and a Saturday." You stuck your tongue out and turned around in his grip, not letting go of his hand.
"Ten more minutes?" you asked.
"Fifteen if you want them," he caved in. You nodded and cuddled into his chest.
"You're adorable."
"Shhhhh, sleeping (Y/N)!" He raised his hands in surrender and kissed your forehead. You both ended up falling asleep and the doorbell woke you up at three pm.
"Shit, that's the post. I'll be back in a few," he exclaimed, hopping out of bed and disappearing out of the room. He came back three minutes later with the mail and dropped it on the bed before pulling you out from under the covers.
"Its time to build a fort!" he yelled, dragging you into the living room. You laughed and helped pull all the pillows off the couches and set them up in a rectangle. Aidan came out of the closet with pillows and blankets stacked in his arms as high as possible. You both arranged them in the box you'd created and then set up Aidan's laptop so you could watch Netflix and cuddle under the blankets.
"Why was today the day to cuddle under a crappy blanket fort again?" you asked, curiously as the credits rolled on The Avengers. You were grinning at Aidan and were wearing one of his long sleeve shirts that gave you sleeve mittens and went down to your thighs. You wouldn't ever believe it, but he was smiling at you in that moment and thinking how beautiful you were.
"Earth to Aidan," you giggled, poking his stomach.
"Anniversary of the first day we met."
"Oh yes, the day of the fourteen pies," you laughed, "Speaking of pies, I think there's a pumpkin one in the fridge calling my name." You came back into the fort five minutes later with two forks to meet a sight you thought you'd never see. Aidan was kneeling in the middle of thirteen different pies. In his hand was a pie shaped box and inside that was a diamond ring.
"Well, I've got the pecan, apple, cherry, rubarb, chocolate, double chocolate, lemon meringue, raspberry, peach, rasin, strawberry, blackberry, and the blueberry. You've got the pumpkin, and you see it's always been like that. For my entire life I'd gotten everything I'd wanted, my dream job, dream friends, dreams always came true for me, but the pumpkin pie is my favorite. Always has been always will be. The one thing I couldn't gain from the fame I got was a decent girlfriend who wasn't after my fame at all. Then I walked into your pie shop and ordered the same thirteen pies I have here, but you said the last pumpkin pie wasn't to be sold. It was to be found. You took my heart the day you told my why the pumpkin pie needed to be found. The last and most perfect pumpkin pie. My life has always been about trying to find the perfect pumpkin pie to settle down and enjoy. I wanted to have found her so many times, but it never worked out in my favor. She was always an apple pie, a gold digger, or a chocolate pie, too sweet. Then I met you. You are my pumpkin pie and I'd like to think I found that pumpkin pie. So will you please be that pumpkin pie because I am dying to eat these with you."
You'd already set down the pumpkin pie on the ground and your hands were covering your blushes.
"Why not? I ended up giving you that pumpkin pie anyway," you answered, pulling him into a hug. His head hit the top of the fort and both of your eyes widened.
"Save the pies!" you yelled, throwing yourself over the pies to protect them from the crumbling fort. You crawled out of the mess of blankets and pillows laughing and yelling.
"Aidan, this is all your fault!" He was frantically diving through the 'wreckage' and groaning.
"Where's it gone!" he finally moaned, exasperated.
"What?" you asked, "You mean this?" You raised your left hand and wiggled it in his face.
"That is expensive and you better not lose it," he said, pulling you closer too him.
"Well if you keep a close eye on me I don't think I will." He pressed his lips to yours and then pulled away as you finished, "But not too close."
