"James Buchanan Barnes, you get your ass over here right now or so help me I will whip you!" you yelled, shoving open the door. Bucky was standing with his back to the wall and his eyes wide with terror as you glared at him.
"I swear I didn't do it! It was Steve I s-swear to God!" he stuttered, holding up his metal arm in defence.
"Sure it was," you hissed, chucking the remains of your best red dress at him, "You're the one who has to buy me a new one for the party and good luck finding the same one, it was straight from Peggy's closet."
Three Weeks Later
"(Y/N)!" Bucky's voice called from the floor below.
"Yeah?" you asked, leaning over the railing. He smirked up at you, your red dress draped over his arm.
"I didn't think you'd actually find it!" you exclaimed, sliding down the banister and taking it from him.
"It took a lot of Steve's influence and a master assassin to get it, but nothing short of the greatest for my best girl," he claimed, bowing deeply and following you up the stairs. You hung up the new old dress and snuggled back under the covers of Bucky's old bedroom. He got in next to you after changing and wrapped his arms around you.
"Bucky!" you squealed, wrestling away from him, "Your arm is cold!" He glared down at his metal arm and sighed. You knew he hated it, it showed his weakness as he always said, but you loved it.
"It's adorable, but it's cold," you explained, rummaging around in your bedside table till you found what you were looking for.
"What the hell is that?" he asked, looking at the navy blue knitted sleeve.
"It's for your arm. Put it on." He did, fitting it across his metal fingers up to his shoulder. You tied it off on his neck and smiled at your handy work before looking to see what Bucky thought. He was wiggling his fingers in it and smiling.
"I love it." You smiled and lay back down, this time getting a warm arm and a knitted one.
"Much better," you smiled, resting your head on his chest.

The next morning you woke up late... like really late, but Bucky was just lazily staring out the window at the New York City skyline.
"It's weird you know. Looking at it now. It's too shiny and glass. Well it feels like it is."
"I always thought it was too clean. No one really sees the dirt and grime from far away," you mumbled sleepily, looking out across the city. He kissed your forehead and wrapped you in his arms again and smiled.
"I missed you when I forgot. Did Steve take care of you?"
"Yeah, he's Steve how would he not?" Bucky smiled and slid out of bed.
"I have to go to memory therapy. I'll be back in an hour," he said, "You better be out of bed by then."
"Nooooo, stayyy," you whined, pulling his arm. He shook his head and you pouted.
"Fine! But you have to do my usual session," he concluded. You nodded enthusiastically as he got back under the covers and called his therapist.
"Alright, cuddling after," he said. You smiled and started asking him questions.
"What were the names of your parents?"
"George and Winfred."
"Siblings?"
"Becca Proctor."
"Best friend?"
"Steve Rogers."
"Full name?"
"James Buchanan Barnes."
"What year is it?"
"2014."
"Where are you?"
"New York."
"Age?"
"89."
"Why do you have to have these meetings with me?"
"With you? Because you like to cuddle and not let me do things."
"Bucky..." you said, warning him.
"Because Hydra wiped my memories clean and I need to be completely sure of who I am and who I work for," he answered.
"Where were you born?"
"Shelbyville, Illinois."
"Last question. Who are you currently married or in a relationship with?" You always thought it was funny that they asked him that question, but he answered it with no problem.
"(Y/N) (Y/L/N) Barnes, of course." You smiled at his answer and kissed him before pressing your cheek to his chest.
"Bucky?"
"Yeah?"
"What was it like? Being in the ice, I mean, what was that like?"
"I don't really know. My brain gave out first and then my body. Ask Steve he probably remembers it more than me."
"Do you remember all the things you did?"
"I remember some of them. Now I can remember the past, before the war, but I can only remember the most recent stuff from after the Russians took me," he explained, "I remember trying to kill Steve, but I also remember saving him. Everything else is just hazy and weird." You stayed quiet fr a couple minutes and then asked, "Bucky?"
"Hmm?"
"You know I love you right?"
"I would hope you do," he laughed, kissing your forehead.
