24th of may - 6 days until tour- 3 days until grace and matty go home

10am in the morning

when i woke the villa was quiet. no noise at all. but i knew today i wanted to be far away, we still had three days until we went home and i knew we were low on food.
i decided to go grocery shopping. i hopped out of bed and into the shower, the warm water hit my back as i massaged coconut shampoo into my hair. i wrapped the towel around me and briefly dried my hair before brushing my teeth and cleaning my face.
i wandered back into the room to the waderobe where all my clothes hang. i pulled out a black ripped denim skirt with a white off. the shoulder crop top.
i grabbed my black crossbody and sunglasses. for shoes i just slipped on my nike air force. ready!

i decided to leave my phone, i didn't want to be tied to anyone today. walking down the marbled stairs i looked into the living room. no on. i looked outside where matty was last night. no one. i shrugged. i knew george was with him and he would look after him. i scribbled a note

i need to be away from it all
today, i love matty with
everything in me but it
fucking hurts to not be enough
for him. i'm so sorry.
look after him georgie &
i'll be back

grace xx

with that done i practically ran out of the house and town the road towards the bus stop. 30 minutes later i was on a bus sledding into a nearby city. i rested my head against the glass and with my sunglasses firmly over my eyes let them cloud up. it thought about everything me and matty had been through. but then i also thought about the fact i left him last time things were hard. maybe i needed to try harder with him. or maybe he was unsavable. this terrified me. it wasn't my job to save him, but i loved him and i was determined to try my hardest. the bus lurched to a stop once we reached the station. i hopped off thanking the driver and as soon as i yelled off i was greeted with a slap of hot air. i smiled.

three hours later i was immersed in the market stalls, buying things i didn't need but desperately wanted. i picked up crystals and beautiful notepads. when the clock hit one everything began to die out a little so i walked back for the bus. bags filled with fresh fruit and trinkets from the market.

once seated i went to the back, but this time with a smile. i knew i loved matty, i would do anything to help him.

i walked back up to the villa to see the bbq lit and george stood over it
"hey babe" he greeted me
"hey georgie" i said pulling him into a hug
"where is ma-?" he stopped me before i. could finish
"he's upstairs asleep" , i nodded
"whatcha cooking good looking?" i teased
"corn on the cob"
"on the bbq?"
"why not?" he laughed
"imma go get changed and i'll be back" i told george
"okay gracie" he smiled. it felt safe with george here.

i ran lightly up the stairs and pushed the door ajar, i saw matty curled up on the bed. he looked so frail and small, but he had a slight tan. he was less pale now. he was my matty, he would always be my matty. i picked my discarded black cotton shorts and white tank top up before heading into the bathroom. i wanted my face and tied my hair up. i slipped my clothes off and slipped the shorts and tank top on. i turned the light off and slipped quietly out of the bathroom and downstairs where george stood with two plates of corn on the cob and wine
"hungry?" he asked
