Angelica found the ship and jack had described it correctly, it was magnificent.
Jack came up behind her, "like it, lad? You better. Ye be spending bout 3 months on her." jack pushed passed her and called for all crew. She ran over to hear the announcement. "Alright you rats." He addressed, and then assigned jobs, "You are cook. You are look out, first watch. You on second watch. And you," He finished pointing at Angelica, "you are cabin boy lad. The rest of you scrub the decks or something." Jack waved his hands and came over to Angelica. "Ever been on a ship before, lad?"
Angelica answered honestly, "Um... no Mr. Captain. Sir." She fumbled her words and scrambled away.
Jack watched 'him' leave. "Strangest lad." He mumbled and walked to his cabin. Later that night Angelica went to jacks cabin, thinking she'd admit herself to him, but he was talking to someone in a low voice. Angelica decided to eavesdrop.
"So what happened with your convent lass?" she heard a mans voice ask.
"Saddest wench I've ever seen. Basically held prisoner there." she heard jack tell the man.
"No, no I mean did you get what you went for, what you thought you'd get at the brothel." She heard the man say in a suggestive tone.
"Oh, yes of course my dear man." jack said obviously smirking. "but here's the thing, she said she loves me." Jack said.
"well what did you say?" "I said I loved her back but of course I lied" Angelica's heart shattered. She was utterly broken inside. She ran to her cabin and cried herself to sleep.
