"Fire!" Jack yelled.
They were in the midst of a battle with a British fleet.
"Jack we can't hold them off!" Angelica screamed, trying to keep a squirmy Jackie safe.
"Mom for god's sake I am 13!" He yelled and broke away.
"Then you're old enough to fight, boy." Jack said.
"Jack! No he's not old enough to fight! I wasn't fighting at 13!" Angelica gripped the teenager's arm.
"You weren't a pirate when you were 13. Didn't even own a sword. I was fighting when I was 11, love. Cut a man's foot off." Jack admitted.
Angelica covered her son's ears when Jack mentioned the foot.
"Oh come on, Angel. We are in a battle, outnumbered may I add, he's gonna see some blood." Jack pointed out.
"Ya!" The boy yelled, running away.
"See now you've encouraged him." Angelica paced.
"Angelica, he is a pirate. Like it or not, he is our son. The son of two infamous pirates. Pirate is in his blood, love." Jack explained as he readied his sword. The British swung over.
Angelica stabbed a man three times her size and the one Jackie was fighting. She helped the boy, fighting back to back, as Jack fended off a huge, buff, obviously angry man who looked more like a bear.
Eventually he over powered Jack and was about to stab him when Angelica ran up and shot him first.
"Thanks, love. I needed that." Jack laughed but turned around and found another man the same size, looking down on all of them.
The second bear man smiled a rotten tooth grin and grabbed all three of them in his arms to take them to the British ship.

Once on the ship, Jackie was released on deck while Jack and Angelica were summoned to the captains quarters. A portly man in a powdered wig came waddling in. As he sat, an explosion sounded and the couple sat in sadness as they watched their ship sink.
"Don't worry. We've cleaned it of all valuables." The man smiled
The couple breathed a sigh of relief.
"They're ours now." He dropped his grin and went to a poker face. "We don't want to hurt you here, but we do intend to turn you in for the bounty. I will tell you now that I cannot say what they will do to you there." The man almost looked concerned, but most likely because the things that happened to pirates were that of which would make you shudder upon thought. "You will be provided a blanket, a pillow, and food regularly but you are pirates after all so I am afraid you'll still be in the brig." The man dismissed them with a wave of his fat, stubby little fingers.

------------MEANWHILE--------------

Jackie stood leaning over the rail, watching the calm ocean reflect the vibrant colors of the setting sun. He knew there were crew members about, but he felt a presence behind him. He turned around and saw a pale, blonde girl of small figure staring at him with wonder.
"Um hi." He greeted, confused at her being there.
"Oh sorry! I didn't mean to- never mind." She dropped her head and started to walk off, but Jackie grabbed her arm. She gasped and turned around.
"Wait. What's your name?" The boy inquired.
"Seraphina. Whimsley. Seraphina Whimsley." She answered tucking her hair behind her ear.
"Jackie. Sparrow. Son of Captain Jack Sparrow and Angelica teach." Jackie offered his hand and shook hers, which was previously extended for him to kiss.
Seraphina was caught off guard.
"You're a.. pirate, aren't you?" She tilted her head to one side.
"Yea why?" Jackie leaned against the railing.
"What's it like? To be free. To go where you want and do what you want." Seraphina came to the rail and looked out longingly.
Jackie ignored her question. "You don't have that do you?"
She shook her head slowly. A small tear dripped from her face. "I'm forced to take lesson after lesson. Piano, ballet, fencing, tightrope. TIGHTROPE! Why would I ever need to walk a tightrope?!" She laughed and cried at the same time.
"You live on a ship, you'd be surprised." Jackie wiped away her tear. Seraphina looked at him with wide eyes. No one had ever touched her face, and certainly not a boy. A pirate at that!
"Show me what you know in fencing." Jackie grabbed a sword and tossed it to her.
They parried for a while, but eventually Jackie had her pinned against the rail.
"I'm surprised they don't teach you that in lessons." the boy giggled. The girl looked at him, shocked, but with wonder.
"No one has ever beaten me." She glared playfully.
"No one has ever tried. They all think you're too delicate. I can see strait through that, Saphire." Jackie joked.
"It's Seraphina." She corrected.
"Whatever Sarah." Jackie said.
She looked up into his eyes, they were filled with curiosity. She smiled shyly. Any other guy would have released her, seeing the situation awkward, but the young Sparrow just held her against the rail. Looking out over her shoulder.
Seraphina lightly coughed to get his attention.
"Oh sorry ,Seraphine, did you want me to kiss you." He quirked one eyebrow up. She blushed and giggled.
Jack and Angelica came walking out of the quarters to see Jackie and Seraphina.
"Jackie come along!" Angelica called.
"Yea mom!" He called back. "Gotta go. Nice meeting ya Thumbelina." Jackie laughed and ran after his parents.
Seraphina watched him leave, shaking her head and smiling.
