"You really think all that is true Sherman?" Angelica said, standing up to look in his eyes.
"I do, Angelica. I have no doubt." Said Sherman confidently.
Angelica smiled and hugged Sherman tight. Sherman was tense at first but then hugged her back. Angelica pulled away but still held him.
She studied his face, then leaned in for a kiss when the door barged open.
"Unhand her, mate!" Jack pointed his sword at Sherman.
"Jack why are you here?!" Angelica scowled.
"To save you, Angel." Jack grabbed her by the waist. Angelica tried to pull away but it was no use.
"Jack you left me! You left me pregnant to fend for myself." Angelica spat.
"Dear, we will deal with this later." Jack said, hoisting her over his shoulder. "You, Mr. Sherman, need to keep your grubby mits off my woman." Angelica nearly melted at hearing him say 'my woman'.
Sherman unexpectedly smiled, "You're a good man, Jack. I thought you were going to be a scoundrel pirate, but no, you really care for her."
"Of course I care for her, lad." Jack put his sword away, and repositioned Angelica so he was holding her like a baby. He looked into her eyes, smirked, and said, "I really do care for her, I love her." He leaned down and kissed her, leaving Sherman to awkwardly watch. Jack didn't break the kiss but found his way out of the treehouse.
"Thanks for saving me, Jack." Angelica smiled, closed her eyes, and leaned into his chest.
