"Are you ready?" Jack whispered to Angelica. It was night on the island when they arrived.
Angelica looked past Jack and out into the darkness. "No." she replied and started walking off the ship. Jack followed.

About midnight Jack and Angelica found the entrance to the cave Davy had told them about. Hush voices could be heard from inside.
Angelica took a deep breath and did the unthinkable. She ran inside, screaming, sword drawn. Jack ran after her but didn't see anything, it was pitch black. He heard Jackie screaming, clashing swords, and then one sword falling on the ground and Angelica screaming. Whatever the scenario was, in was not in their favor.
"Good choice, Sparrow." He heard Davy croak. "Unfortunately for you, we have decided to alter our deal." Jack felt like punching him in his squidy beard, all the way to his throat. "You remember Barbossa?" Davy lit a lantern that showed Barbossa holding a knife to Angelica's throat, smiling and staring Jack in the eye as he did.
Seeing Angelica's pained face, Jack gasped, "No..... Angel"
Davy smiled, "The deal is, take your child and Barbossa gets your wife, or....take your wife and the child dies." Davy lit another lantern to show that he was holding Jackie.
"He'll take the child!" Angelica screamed.
"That's an answer." Davy signaled to Barbossa, who let Angelica go, but had a rope tied around her ankle.
Angelica ran over to Jackie in tears. "I'm sorry... I'm so sorry.." Angelica sobbed, holding her child close. She sang to him in a slow, quiet voice, "En lo profundo de la pradera y bajo el sauce, los árboles se inclinan y susurran a la viuda, dicen para quedarse, y nadie puede culpar, las flores también señas y las criaturas de la misma." She choked through tears.
Jack just watched, shocked by what she had done, she sacrificed herself. He slowly made his way over to her. Jack stood above her. Angelica looked up and expected to be slapped for what she had done, but Jack hugged her. He embraced her and hid his face in her hair.
Davy felt water come to his eyes, but flicked it away, not wanting to remember what him and Tia could have had. "Barbossa, take her!" He ordered and Barbossa pulled on the leash, dragging Angelica backward.
Jack took the child and made a silent promise that he would fix everything, "Trust me." He whispered to the child. Suddenly, he was alone in the cave.
