Jack woke up mid morning. The previous day had been a tiresome one. Angelica lie on top of him, her head lazily rested on his chest.
"Wake up, Angel." He said in a soft voice.
Angelica groaned and put her hands around his neck. "Do I have to?" She looked up at him with a pouty look on her face.
"Yes, love." He smirked at her failed attempt.
Angelica put her head back down. "I missed you when that evil man took me." She admitted and played her fingers on his chest.
Jack ran his fingers through her hair. "I missed you more than the sea and the sun combined. And the worst part, it was my fault you were gone." He lowered his head.
Angelica crawled up his chest and kissed him. "It wasn't your fault. You were drunk, and you didn't bet me. That was his choice." She cupped his cheeks.
Jack smiled at her.
"I'm glad he lied about his men killing you." She smiled slightly and curled up against him.
"He didn't lie." Jack corrected.
"What?" She gasped.
"They tried. I killed some and the remaining men just tied me up. They threw me in the brig, but those numbskulls forgot to take away my boot knife." He rolled his eyes.
Angelica laughed. "How did you kill so many of them?" She inquired.
"Angel, nothing can keep me away from you." He said.
Angelica smirked and kissed him. Jack responded immediately, deepening it.
"Dad!" Jackie yelled on the other side of the door.
"Just a minute." He replied and kissed Angelica's neck.
"It's important!" He screeched.
Angelica giggled as Jack made faces and mumbled.
"Coming." He groaned. "Yes, son?" He asked.
Jackie and Seraphina stood in the hall, unconsciously hand-in-hand.
"She can read the map." Jackie breathed.
"What?!?" Jack gasped. "No one can read that map."
"It's possible." Angelica said in the background. "If she-" Angelica stopped.
She darted out of bed, not even caring to carry her nightgown as she ran. Checking the hall, she shoved the children inside and slammed the door.
Turning to Seraphina, she asked, "Did you ever know your mother?"
"No." She responded hesitantly.
"Oh my god." Angelica stepped back.
