Jack awoke and looked down, expecting to see Angelica, and saw his arms embraced a pillow. She's so sneaky, he thought. Jack considered the idea that she left but she wouldn't leave Jackie, who was crying in his nursery.

Jack ran into the nursery where Jackie was sobbing in his crib. "Er, what do you want?" Jack looked at the infant as though he expected an answer. "Want this?" He shook the bottle. Jack gave him the bottle, Jackie just stared at it.

"I don't have, er, those." He gestured to where breasts would be.

Jack gave in and picked the child up. "Ok I think this is right." Jack said, nervously putting the bottle near Jackie's mouth. He grabbed it and started sucking on it. Jack breathed a sigh of relief.

He shakily set Jackie back in his crib and watched him slowly fall asleep. Jack caught sight of a small folded note on the table by the sleeping baby's crib. Jack tip-toed over to it and read it.

The note read:
Dear Jack,
I know I'm leaving you on short notice but my sister has gotten worse and become deathly ill. I may be gone longer than expected. If you are reading this I know you've at least checked on Jackie, and for that I thank you. Please take good care of him while I'm gone. I'm sorry for this inconvenience, really. I'm not leaving forever, I promise you. I would never, I love you Captain Jack Sparrow.
All my love,
Angel
Jack folded the note back and put it in his shirt. He felt better knowing she hadn't left. He took one last glance at sleeping Jackie and went out to control his crew.
