Jackie paced around the deck. He felt a hand on his shoulder and jumped.
"Sorry ,lad. Just me." Gibbs apologized.
Jackie sighed, "No problem." He turned back around.
"Lad, don't be so down." Gibbs stood with him, looking out over the ocean as the sun set.
"They haven't been back for a month. The war is long over, why wouldn't they be back?" He said angrily.
Gibbs wished he had an answer. "I don't know. Maybe they got held up. They're not dead, I promise ye." Gibbs assured.
"Stop trying to reassure me. You don't know that and neither do I." Jackie said harshly.
Gibbs left the boy and took the helm.
"Are you alright?" Seraphina came up behind him.
"I'm fine." He spoke in a hushed voice.
"No you're not." She took Gibbs' place.
Jackie just kept staring out.
"If your so worried about them, why don't you go find them?" She offered.
Jackie turned to her, "you may have a point. You're a genius!" He laughed and hugged her, soon pulling away and clearing his throat awkwardly.
"Where was the war again?" He asked her.
"Norway." She answered.
"Gibbs, can we go to Norway?" The boy asked.
"Nothing better to do." Gibbs replied before giving orders.
"Thank you." Jackie said to the girl.
"My pleasure." She smiled.
"We need rest if this is going to work." He dismissed.
"Right. Goodnight." She curtsied and walked to her cabin.

Jackie lie in his bed, awake and thinking of his parents.
"Come in." He replied to a knock at his door.
Seraphina skipped in the room and spread a map on his bed.
"Couldn't sleep?" He asked.
"I'm fine, but we need a plan for this to work. Not sleep, although you don't seem to be having any luck." She told him.
"I'm just worried." He sighed.
"Jackie, your parents are two of the most infamous pirates on the seas. I can't think of anyone who would have better luck surviving in these circumstances than them." She touched his hand gently.
"How is it that you always know what to say." He flipped his hand over and intertwined their fingers.
Seraphina blushed and looked down at their hands. "I could say the same for you." She giggled.
Jackie got out of his bed and stood up facing her. He grabbed her other hand and slowly leaned towards her.
Seraphina blushed and closed her eyes, but before she felt his lips touch hers, the glass of his window broke and a cannon ball came plunging through.
"Go!" He pushed her through the door and followed.
"What's happening?" She covered her ears.
"You're father isn't too happy with us."
