Jack peered through the window of his enemy's cabin. He had snuck on Barbossa's ship when they docked in Tortuga. It was impossible to hear what they were saying, but he could tell by Angelica's reaction to Barbossa talking that he wasn't planning anything pleasant.
Jack wasn't going to wait around to find out what he planned to do and burst through the door.
"Jack no!" Angelica screamed as Jack ran over to her. She squirmed away as he tried to pick the lock. He succeeded in freeing her, but got up to find that Barbossa had not tried to stop him from rescuing her, but was stopping him from leaving.
"Angelica, I believe you have a job to do." He said, darkly amused.
"No I don't. I will never obey you, especially if it means I have to...." She ended in a hushed voice, looking at Jack.
She held the gaze, but gave a violent jerk and attained a shocked face.
"Angelica?" Jack tried to catch her as she crumbled to the floor. She lie there in a pool of blood, 5 feet away from Barbossa, holding a smoking flintlock.

"You bastard!" Jack raged and lunged at him. They wrestled for a minute, but soon Jack found his sword and pinned the man down.
"You will never come near my family again. I will see to it that you stay far away from the Sparrows until the day your bloodline ends." Jack demanded and plunged the sword through his heart. "For us." He finished, looking the dieing man strait in the eye.
He turned his attention back to Angelica, who was shakily eyeing the bloody hole in her stomach. She attempted to reach for it but Jack stopped her and held her hand.
"It's ok, love. You'll be fine." Jack tried to comfort her but his voice cracked and became shaky as he felt hot tears rush to his eyes, waiting to fall.
Angelica shook her head, she knew she wouldn't be fine. She knew it was the end. "......Love........you...." she choked.

Jack shushed her and hugged her tight. "I love you too love, forever and always. Never doubt it, never deny it." He whispered in her ear. He hugged her until she felt heavy on his shoulder. He patted her back and got no reply. Jack didn't move her. He sat there, letting the tears run down. For the first time, Captain Jack Sparrow cried.
