Angelica slowly opened her eyes. It hadn't felt like she was sleeping that long. Then she formed an idea.
She snuck out of the ginormous bed at what seemed like the middle of the night, as Adonis was still asleep, but due to the lack of windows one could be sure.
She crept over to the door and cracked it. It made a small noise so she left it open once outside.
Angelica found a key rig on a peg outside the door and decided best to take them.
She set off down the dark, damp hallway to find the correct door.
On her way, she received a few growls from some older looking doors.
What does he do here? She wondered.
After several minutes, she stopped to look around her and make sure she was not followed, when a hand came out from the bars of a door and grabbed her neck.
Angelica panicked and pried at the arm, but it was too strong. She felt the hand feel her necklace and abruptly recoil back into the cell.
"Angel!" Jack whispered happily.
"Jack!" Angelica reached through the bars and thumbed his cheek.
Jack closed his eyes as he felt her soft hand touch his face.
"Your hand." Angelica gasped.
"It's alright. I just got bored." He laughed.
"Violence is not the answer to boredom." Angelica giggled. "I missed you."
"As have I, love. The thought of this whole situation has tortured me." He admitted. "When we go home, let's have a bed-ridden day." Jack smirked.
But we won't go home, Angelica's thoughts screamed at him.
"I'd like that." Her mouth decided to say.
"What are you doing out here?" Adonis demanded Angelica.
"Nothing, Adonis." Angelica stood up tall and put her back to Jack's cell.
"You're coming back with me and I am locking the door." Adonis grabbed her arm and pulled her away.
What he didn't know was that Angelica had dropped the keys in Jack's cell through the bars when she turned her back, and Jack caught them before they hit the ground, making noise.
Angelica gave Jack one last look before she was out of sight. It was no look of sympathy or love, it was a look of determination. To clarify their plan that had been formed in the 12 seconds they had together.
