Jack ran up to deck and to the captain's quarters.
He angrily opened the door and walked in.
"I want to know what's in those shots you've been giving my wife." He demanded.
"Just the medicine she deserves." The captain smiled.
"Deserves?" Jack questioned.
"Angelica and I, we go way back. I am simply giving her a taste of her own medicine." his smile faded into a wicked smirk.
"And that is?" Jack pressed.
"She broke my heart, I am breaking her down," He laughed. "Those shots are giving her an infection in that nasty gash you gave her."
"You sick bastard!" Jack punched him across the face.
"Beat me all you want, that's just a slower death for that little whore." He glared.
Jack ran out of the room and back to his cabin, where Angelica was moaning in pain.
Jack grabbed a bottle of rum from his cabinet and undid her bandages.
"No, Jack." She pulled her arm away, but Jack poured the alcohol on her wound and she howled in pain.
Jackie and Seraphina ran in to see what the commotion was and gasped.
"Mom!" He yelled as he saw her infection.
"Son, stay back. She's fine, just go back to bed." He told him and Jackie hesitantly obeyed.
"Angelica it's alright." Jack soothed her and offered her the rum.
She shook her head but Jack poured it down her throat. "You're dehydrated as that god-forsaken island, Angelica, now drink it." He demanded.
Angelica took the bottle and downed the rest of it in a hurry.
She reached for another one, but Jack refused. "Not right now, you'll get drunk."
"Thank you." Angelica spoke, her voice scratchy, but not pitiful.
"Anytime, love." He said as he bandaged her again.
"The captain, he says that you broke his heart a long time ago." Jack spoke with a hint of jealousy.
"George?!" Angelica gasped.
"I guess."
"I was engaged to him when you met me." She blushed.
"What?!?" Jack accidentally tightened the bandages too tight in surprise. "You left him for me?"
"Of course." She answered.
"Angelica.." He was speechless. "A pirate shows up in your room so you make love to him while promised to another man!?" Jack fumed.
"Jack, there's more to the story." She tried to stop him.
"I'll be happy to hear it, just not now." He said and walked out, slamming the door.
