There were several paths inside the cave. Jackie took the most center one,
Jack and Angelica took the right, and the competitors took the left.---------------------------------------------
"Jack!" Angelica screamed as she sprinted, until the ground wasn't under her feet anymore.
"Help!" She yelled from the bottom of a deep hole.
"Angelica, are you ok?" Jack called.
"Fine. Go after the treasure!" She told him.
"No, not without you." He refused.
Jack took off his sash and lowered it down, helping Angelica out.
"Let's go." He smirked once she was out.---------------------------------------------
"Seraphina?" Jackie called as he walked down the long tunnel.
He was walking backwards to look for any other intruders when he bumped into a skeleton.
He sprinted down the tunnel.
"Seraphina?!?" He called again.
"I'm here!" She answered, but unclear from where.
"Just keep talking!" He yelled and ran toward the sound.
She obeyed, but Jackie followed the sound strait into a wall.
"Clever use of stone." He remarked as he cursed the dead end.--------------------------------------------
"Keep moving, men." The captain ordered.
The captain and his crew walked cautiously through the tunnel until they found a part of the floor that looked unstable.
"You go." The man pushed the boy captive forward.
"And wait for us at the other side or you're dead meat after this." His kidnapper glared.
The boy gulped and warily crossed the floor.
All the men started to cross when the boy stepped on a tile on the other side that dropped it. Several of the men fell, while several stood trapped at the other side.
"Bloody child!" The captain cursed.
The boy ran to a small light at the end of the tunnel.---------------------------------------------
Seraphina had followed the map to a puzzle wall.
There were strange symbols, the correct order meant a passage, the wrong order meant death.
"Hello?" Seraphina turned around to see a boy about her age.
"Oh hello." She answered.
"Excuse me for asking, but what is a princess doing in a cave?" He pointed out.
"How do you know I am a princess?" She gasped.
"Your beauty tells it all." He smiled.
Seraphina blushed.
"What is a prince doing in a cave?" She countered.
"Captive to find the treasure." He answered.
"I am not captive, but I'm finding the treasure too." She told him.
"You are quite brave to be doing this." He complimented.
"How so?"
"To break the curse of the treasure, they need a bit of your blood." He informed.
"What?!?" She gasped.
"They didn't tell you?" He came closer to comfort her.
"No." She said sadly.
"You don't have to do this." He comforted.
"I won't." She crossed her arms.
"Seraphina!" Jackie yelled and ran towards her.
"Halt!" The prince stood in front of her.
"Who is this?" Jackie asked her.
"I'm sorry I didn't catch your name." Seraphina stepped in front of the prince.
"Alonzo, prince of Spain." He kissed her hand.
"This is Alonzo." She giggled to Jackie.
"Hey!" Jackie marched over to Alonzo.
"Yes?" Alonzo asked blankly.
"You kissed her!" He steamed.
"That is how royalty greets." Alonzo pushed him aside.
"Whatever, did you find the treasure yet Seraphina?" Jackie asked and layed a protective arm around Seraphina.
"No, and I won't." She dropped the map and removed his arm.
"What?" He picked up the map. "Why not?"
"You forgot to mention that my blood is needed. You lied to me so I would help you!" She crossed her arms.
"I didn't know." He said quietly.
"You knew well. You knew I wouldn't help you if I would be in danger. This treasure means nothing to me. You... All you want is the gold, the money!" She said angrily. "I'm leaving." She marched toward the exit, but walked right into the barrel of Angelica's gun.
"Oh no you're not." Angelica readied the gun for a shot.
"You wouldn't shoot me." Seraphina said.
"I would. And I would show you, but I would have to shoot your little prince boyfriend." Angelica spat.
"He's not her boyfriend!!!" Jackie screeched.
Jack came and patted him on the back.
"Step away from her." Alonzo defended.
"Te quedas allí si usted sabe lo que es bueno para usted. No voy a hacerle daño." Angelica said to him, keeping the gun aimed at Seraphina.
"Si." The prince backed away.
While she thought Angelica was distracted, Seraphina ran past her, but Angelica caught her hair and put the gun to her head.
"I hope this doesn't hurt our relationship, honey, but you're not leaving. I thought we made that clear." She said sweetly, almost sarcastically. She threw the girl towards Jackie, who caught her in his arms.
"Now, let's get back to this treasure, shall we?" She smiled.
She earned slow nods from everyone. It's good to be in control, She thought happily.
