Chapter 116

Seraphina walked from side to side of the room inspecting all of the little trinkets and treasures and oddities.
Jackie came up from behind her and put a hand on her shoulder.
"Found anything interesting?" He asked.
"Everything." She replied, making him smile. He loved it when her eyes twinkled as if they held the universe captive. Seraphina noticed and cocked her head to the side in the cute little way that he liked.
"Just admiring something I find interesting." He said dreamily, making Seraphina blush sweetly. "You're my favorite thing here." He whispered in her ear.
Seraphina hugged him and he hugged her back. He twirled a golden lock of hair behind her back.
Jackie eventually broke their embrace, but as they pulled away, he caught her by the cheek and put them face to face.
"There's something new I find out about you everyday." He smiled and shook his head before kissing her.
After a few seconds, Seraphina broke the kiss and blushed as she walked a few steps away and looked to the ground. "I'm sorry."
"Whatever for?" Jackie asked and followed her.
"Not being as much fun as you'd like me to be." She blushed again.
"Just you being here is all I could ask for." He said as he laid both hands on her waist.
Seraphina smiled sadly at him and hugged him again. "How is it that you, a pirate, could ever like a girl like me?" She questioned.
"Why do you question my feelings for you?" He looked into her eyes.
"Because they're abnormal." She searched his as well.
"You'll find a lot of that here, deary." He joked.
Seraphina took his hand and walked to the bed, sitting on the edge.
Jackie threw an arm around her as Seraphina leaned into him.
"Do you worry for your father?" She asked with a yawn.
"No, my mother will make sure my grandfather stays away from him." He said to south her, but mostly himself.
She nodded and closed her eyes.
"Are you tired?" He looked down at her.
"Yes." She broke away from him embrace and walked into the closet, coming out moments later in a beige nightgown.
She crawled into bed as Jackie took his shirt off on the other side.
He crawled in as well and scooted over to Seraphina. He laced his arms around her and kissed her on the forehead.
"You missed." She smiled, using his own words against him.
Jackie smirked and kissed her.
She kissed him back and slid down in the bed, bringing him with her.
She finally broke their moment after it had lasted long enough to remember and snuggled into his chest.
"Seraphina?" Jackie asked.
"Mm?" She answered, savoring the way his chest rumbled when he talked. Suddenly she felt his heart rate increase dramatically.
"I love you." He admitted and held his breath.
She looked up at him, he had his face scrunched up in the agony of awaiting her answer.
She delicately smiled. "I love you too, Jackie Sparrow."
