Chapter 107

Jack sat in his cell, contemplating what just happen.
He's going to kill her, and if not, he is at least going to beat her, Jack thought.
He wasted no time in producing the keys and unlocking the door.
He sprinted down the hallway towards the doors that seemed the most suitable for a dark hearted man such as Adonis.
Jack burst through the doors, but found only a crying Angelica inside.
"Jack, no! Run!!" Angelica yelled between sobs.
Jack took a few steps back, appalled at her warning.
He backed right into the tight chest of Adonis.
"Well, hello there. Aren't you right in time." Adonis put his hands on Jack's shoulder.
"Let go of me!" Jack turned around and saw two other men Adonis' size behind him.
"This is the man you wanted." Adonis pushed him forward.
"Sign this if you want to live." They offered him a paper and pen.
Jack signed it without delay, but then felt pain in his heart as Angelica sobbed harder when he did.
"Congratulations you have joined the soldiers of the sky. We'll give you 2 minutes to say your goodbyes." They said without emotion.
"My goodbyes?" Jack cocked his head.
"To your wife. Unless you wish to go now." One of them said.
"You cannot see her again once you go." The other one chimed in.
"Then I won't go." Jack stated.
"You already signed." The first one gave a hardy laugh.
They both laughed and walked down the hall.
Adonis closed the door behind them and faced Jack. "I apologize, Mr. Sparrow. It is my job to follow their commands." He said with actual sympathy in his voice.
Jack looked to Angelica, who had her head pressed to the floor, shaking with tears.
Adonis walked out of his room, leaving the two to say their goodbyes.
Jack rushed over to Angelica and knelt down beside her.
"I'm so sorry." He breathed.
Angelica lifted her head and sat up. She had tear stains on her cheeks, but her eyes were not red or puffy and her face showed no sadness.
"Jack, would you rather die with me or never see your family again?" She asked and gave a sick grin.
"Well of course I would rather die with you." Jack shook his head in confusion.
"Take this." She handed him a dagger and directed his arm around her shoulder and the dagger to her neck, then she did the same to him.
The sky soldiers came in shortly after that and saw their plan. "Stop!" They both shouted.
"Let him go. Burn the contract or he dies." Angelica glared at them.
"You will too." Adonis pointed out to her from behind the men.
"What's it to you." She hissed.
Adonis backed off.
"Whose plan was this?" One of the soldiers asked.
"Mine." Angelica offered willingly.
Jack spun his head towards her in a confused glare.
What can he do? She told him with her eyes.
"We could use courage like that. You're coming too." The soldier said.
"Deal." Angelica drew back her knife and so did Jack.
They all turned and led them out.
"What's the plan now?" Jack asked her in a bush tone only she could hear.
Angelica shrugged. "Improvise?"
