Angelica paced the room until she spotted a window. She looked out and suddenly had a plan.
Angelica stepped out of the window onto a balcony and looked up to see a small window above her. Carefully, she placed one foot on the balcony railing and hurled herself up to the window.
She succeeded and crawled through, placing herself in the spotlight among the crew, who were devouring a roasted chicken.
"Alright, men." Said a familiar voice as Enrique came walking in.
Good job Angelica, she scolded herself.
Angelica grabbed the nearest pistol and pointed it at the captain.
The pistol's owner laughed.
"What might be so funny?" She glared.
"That gun has no bullets." He said.
Before she could react, a bullet fired the gun out of her hand.
"Mine does." Enrique said as he rounded the table.
He came over to her and stood above her like a father scolding a child. "I told you there would be punishment if you disobey me, did I not?" He bellowed.
Enrique slapped her hard with the back of his hand and, because of his ring, left a long bloody mark.
Angelica fell to the floor and held her cheek. Her eyes weld up with tears.
Enrique glared at her on the floor. "She's all yours, sailors." He walked away.
All of the crew got up from their seats and surrounded her.
Angelica crawled away but bumped into someone behind her.
The crew behind her picked her up and two others got her feet.
They carried her to the crews quarters, a series of hammocks below deck. They dropped her on a hammock, but before they could pin her down, she darted to the far corner of the room and grabbed a sword.
She pointed it defensively at the crew, who once again surrounded her.
"Leave her alone!" Yelled a voice from the stairs.
"And what if we-" One of the crew members turned around and was shot in the head mid sentence.
"She's coming with me." He ordered.
"Jack!" Angelica gasped and lowered the sword.
As soon as she did, the remaining crew attacked her against the wall.
Jack fought through them one by one until all that was left was unconscious scum.
"What happened to your face?" Jack traced the mark.
"Your old friend happened." She sighed.
"Angelica I'm so sorry." He hugged her. "I lo-" He tried to tell her, but Angelica attacked his lips and kissed him.
Jack smiled against her lips.
Enrique cleared his throat. "May I have my prize back?" He asked.
Angelica stole Jack's gun and shot him through the heart. Enrique Carvala sank to the ground like a rock.
She walked over to the corpse and bent down to it. "For everything you did you my heart." She said as she looked at the bloody wound.
"Ready to go?" Jack asked.
"Yes." Angelica said, not before grabbing a few coins from the pockets of the corpse.
