Angelica woke up with an aching back and a terrible headache. Being pregnant wasn't fun.

Jack stirred and rolled over. He played with a curly lock of her hair, "Why are ye all the way over there, love?" Jack rolled over so he was above her.

"Not today, Jack" Angelica gave him a blank stare until she winced at her headache.

"Are ye ok?" Jack touched her head gently.

"Just a headache" she said as she got up, but she didn't make it far until her back stopped her. "And back pains"

"Get back in bed" Jack patted the bed and Angelica obeyed, laying face down.

Jack got in bed and sat next to her. He started massaging her back and she started moaning. "Need Gibbs?" Jack offered.

"No just go get painkillers." Angelica said, muffled against the sheets.

"Got it. stay here." Jack said, getting up. He was about to walk out the door when he turned to her on the bed. "Angelica?" he heard a muffled reply. "Know that I love you."

Angelica heard the door close and sat up. She rubbed her stomach.

---------------------------------------------

Jack walked through the door, "got the painkillers." He called. Jack went over to the lump in the bed, just pillows. He started to panic. "ANGELICA?!?" Jack searched everywhere, no Angelica. He ran out the door to find Gibbs.

----------------------------------------------

"Gibbs have you seen Angelica?" Jack asked. He had found Gibbs in the pub, talking to the bar manager.

"Yea she's......... upstairs in a room." Gibbs explained hesitantly.

"Why is she here?" Jack asked, confused.

"Jack........" Gibbs said seriously.

"Oh no what is it." Jack asked, his face falling. "Is she sick? is she hurt?"

"Jack. She's in labor." Gibbs said quietly.

"Take me to her." Jack demanded and the two men rushed upstairs.

----------------------------------------------

Jack barged in the door and rushed over to a red, sweaty Angelica. "Angel! Are you alright?" Jack held her hand and she squeezed so tight it hurt.

"Yea I'm fiEEEEEEEEEEn." Angelica said, going through a contraction mid-sentence.

Jack looked at her worriedly, knowing that most women don't live through childbirth. She gave him a sad smile, reading his mind.

"Jack..." Angelica tried to say.

"Love, it's ok." Jack stroked her hair and got low to her.

Seeing this was a moment, Gibbs left the couple.

Angelica gave a sad laugh, "this isn't how I expected to have my first child, in a room above a pub laying on a cheap bed."

"I don't think I did either." Jack kissed her sweaty forehead.

"Jack, I love you" Angelica squeezed his hand tight, another contraction.

Jack couldn't bear to see her in pain, "I love you more than anything, always have always will."

Gibbs came back in the room, "ready Angelica?" He asked, a little sad.

Angelica nodded and then looked at Jack.

"I'll be right outside." Jack reassured her, squeezing her hand.

Jack left and Gibbs positioned himself to deliver a baby, or try.
