Angelica got out of the longboat first and helped Seraphina out. Then Jack got out and pulled Jackie off to the side.
"Boy, why did you bring a British lass?! I know from experience that all they are is snotty trouble." Jack said flailing his arms.
"She has never had freedom, Dad. She was a prisoner too." He pointed out.
"No she was the bloody captain's daughter!" Jack countered.
"No she was a prisoner like us, except the captain gave her a cabin because she's a girl." He quirked an eyebrow.
"Son, she's the captains daughter. Go ask her." He ushered his son toward the girl.
Jackie marched towards the girl. "Sarah, tell my untrusting father that you were prisoner aboard that dump of a ship."
"Sorry, Jackie. I was not a prisoner. I was there with my father, he was the captain."
"Told you!" Jack yelled and laughed hard.
"What?!?" Jackie's voice cracked. " Is he going to be looking for us? Is he going to come after us?!? We need to take you back." Jackie grabbed her arm and pulled her towards the boat.
"Stop!" She pulled away. "He's already left and I am never going back there! If you will take me back I will run away before you can drag me into that little wooden dingy." She crossed her arms.
"She's right, son. You started this, you finish it." Jack agreed.
"I think we should take her back." Angelica sided.
Jack cleared his throat and crossed to Angelica, draping his arm around her shoulders, "You don't really mean that, sweetness."
"Oh but I do, Jack. She's British. She won't help us, if anything she'll double cross us!" Angelica shot back.
"You're forgetting she's 13." Whispered Jack.
"It doesn't matter Jack. Women are sneaky creatures. And since she's the daughter of a captain, he will be on our tail." Angelica crossed her arms.
"Your a captain's daughter too, love." He pointed out.
"Well... er....." Angelica sighed, she had been defeated.
"Right. To the pub!" Jack shouted and lead the group towards the sound of men fighting, music playing, and jolly voices all around.

The family sat at a table as Jack downed his 6th bottle. Jackie had gone off to steal and Jack was snoring.
"Listen, Seraphina is it? I'm sorry about earlier. I'm not saying I take it back, I just feel bad. I won't make any more accusations until I know you better." Angelica said as she circled her finger over the top of a wine glass.
"It's alright. I can't expect a pirate to like me." Seraphina looked in Jackie's direction.
Angelica chuckled, "I wouldn't completely doubt that."
"FIRE!" Jack roared, waking up from his nap, only to down the other half of the bottle.
"Alright Jack, let's get you to bed." Angelica dragged him up and got the keys to two rooms above the pub.
