The band of pirates walked through the cave carefully. Eventually they made it to a small pool, Jack took out the cups and read the inscription, Agua de Vida, and banged the cups together. Nothing. Angelica rolled her eyes and grabbed the cups from him and held them up in front of her.
She chanted, "oh fuente por favor muéstrate. tenemos el agua de la vida. tenemos que salvar las almas. mostrar el camino" Everyone stood astonished as streams of water trickled along the walls, floors, and ceilings, adding to the pool until the droplets started to float up. Angelica was the first to walk up and play with the illogical water. She stuck her sword through the new-formed puddle on the ceiling and it sucked her through.
Jack gasped and everyone started at him accusingly, "what?" he said shrugging, embarrassed to be the only one to gasp.
Eventually everyone made it through the ceiling puddle. They all stood still, shocked by the beauty of what they saw. The fountain of youth. Then they saw the British, and the Spaniards appear from two other sides of the fountain. Angelica bolted across the bridge that crossed the most to the fountain. She barely made it before someone shot at her, destroying the bridge.
After that the beautiful scene that they had just saw turned into a horrible war zone. All sides started fighting each other. Angelica immediately started filling up the cups and then tossed them to Jack.
Jack was puzzled and then shocked as he watched her dive into the water. "Angelica?!" He ran towards the edge of the water. Angelica resurfaced holding a mermaid by the hair. The vile creature writhed and screamed as Angelica cut it and collected the tear. Angelica jumped out of the water and let go. The creature swam violently back down and Jack noticed several bleeding spots on Angelica. "Are you ok, love?" Jack handed her one of the cups.
"Not really, but I just caught a mermaid. Wasn't expected to be painless." She replied treating one of the cups with the tear. "Now, run." Angelica said and bolted towards a rock. Jack looked puzzled and ran after her right before where they were previously standing blew up.
"Bloody Spaniards and their bombs!" Jack cursed. Angelica chuckled and kissed him. "What was that for?" he smirked.
"If we die now, I want you to remember me." Angelica smiled sweetly.
"Too late to forget." Jack smiled. Not a smirk, not a seductive grin. An affectionate smile meant for only one kind of emotion. Love.
