Chapter 99

"Dad, can you do me a favor?" Jackie shyly asked.
"I thought you were in the kitchen with your little princess." He said as he drank from his bottle.
"I was but I let her do the cooking, I couldn't even crack an egg." He shook his head.
"Good choice, son. What is it, then?" Jack asked.
"I need to... er.... well." Jack rubbed the back of his neck awkwardly.
"Spit it out!" Jack encouraged.
"I need you to help me make a romantic setting for me and Seraphina. I just want her to know that I like her." Jackie blushed.
Jack smiled. "Of course."
"Really? Thanks Dad!" Jackie hugged him and ran off to the kitchen.
"Scrum!" Jack called.
"Yes, Captain, sir." Scrum answered as he ran to the door.
"I need you to be up on deck at 9:00 tonight. Bring your guitar." Jack winked.
"Yes, sir!" Scrum said excitedly and scurried away.
Jack sat smiling, proud of himself.

"I have a surprise for you." Jackie covered Seraphina's eyes and led her on deck.
"It's so cold. Why are we on the deck at night?" She hugged herself.
"You'll see." Jackie smiled. "Ok, ready?" He asked.
"Ready when you are." She answered.
He uncovered her eyes and Seraphina looked confused.
"What is it?" She turned around and asked him, but was interrupted by the guitar.
"Care for a dance?" Jackie offered his hand as gently as he knew how.
"Of course." She giggled and took his hand.
He kissed it and began to dance with her.
"You learned that from Alonzo, didn't you?" She commented on his manners.
"I may have picked up a few tips." He smirked and spun her around.
Seraphina laid her head in his shoulder as they danced, gently and slowly.

"Is that music?" Angelica asked as she walked into Jack's cabin.
"I may have done Jackie a favor." Jack smirked.
"What kind of favor?" Angelica cocked her head to one side.
"He wanted some romantic time with the girl." Jack chuckled.
"He's his father's son." Angelica smirked.
"What do you say we crash their party." Jack stood up and grabbed her hand.
"I say let's dance." She replied.
The two went up on deck to find Jackie and Seraphina slowly dancing in the middle of the deck.
"Mind if we join?" Jack called to him.
"Go ahead." Jackie laughed.
"Jack, how dare you interrupt a silent night with this... music." Angelica joked.
"My apologies, Misses Sparrow. Can I make it up to you with a dance?" He bowed and chuckled.
"You may, Mister Sparrow." She laughed and took Jack's hands as they began to dance.
After half an hour of showing off to the young couple, Jack and Angelica stopped.
"Do you forgive me, m'lady?" Jack asked playfully.
"Maybe I do, maybe I don't." She teased.
"I have more tricks up my sleeve than you'd expect, love." He dipped and kissed her.
"And you think I don't?" Angelica scoffed.
"I surely haven't seen any." Jack decided to play with her.
"I could say that same for you." She laughed.
"Oh really?" Jack quickly took his hands away from hers, letting her fall, but caught her before she hit the ground. "how bout now?" He whispered in her ear.
"I'd like to see some more." She whispered back seductively.
"Well it would only be rude to turn a lady down." Jack replied and took her back to his cabin.
