Later that night when Jack was in his cabin, Angelica came running in.
Jack was startled and jumped up from his chair, hand on his sword handle.
Angelica was breathing heavily and upset, "Jack you love me right?!" She was almost sobbing.
"Angelica, love, why wouldn't I? You know I love you more than the ocean and the pearl combined. What's wrong?" Jack hugged her and played with her hair.
"Nester. I don't like him, he is strange." She didn't want to tell him about the incident. It would ruin their old friendship that stretched into Jack's boyhood! She couldn't do that, not yet.
"It's alright, love. He's British, you'll get used to it." Jack said, obviously not getting it. "by the way, love, Nester is staying here with us for a while. He lives by himself. I can't have him all lonesome. I gave him Gibbs' cabin. Gibbs is sleeping with the crew." Jack explained.
Angelica fake smiled. He's staying... great.
