A Pirate's love

Chapter 22

Jack and Angelica found themselves tied to some palm trees inside the walls of the Spanish fort. Angelica struggled at the rope while Jack just watched her.

Angelica glared at him, "Care to help?"

"Not really, thanks." He leaned back against the palm tree and closed his eyes. Angelica shook her head at him and resumed her struggling. What she didn't notice was that Jack had begun to scoot his way up the tree. Angelica was still struggling, getting herself tied tighter, when she heard jack call from the top of the tree, "Whatcha doing down there, love?"

Angelica looked up at him, angry for not helping her. "Get down here, Sparrow!" she yelled, attracting the attention of two Spaniards. They saw Jack on top of the tree and ran towards him. Jack jumped from tree to tree, trying to get away. Angelica was furious, still tied to the tree. He just leaves me here! sucio, la mentira, el engaño sinvergüenza! She ranted in her head. She was still calling him names in her mind when she was yanked upward.

"Shhh" Jack warned as he untied her.

"I thought you left." She whispered.

He smirked at her. "I wouldn't have saved you from that lusty Spaniard man if I was going to leave you tied to a tree." Angelica smiled back and they ran through the forest back to camp.

After a sprint through the jungle, they found camp, a few tents around a fire, and quietly went in their tents. Angelica had her own tent because the rest were all men. Jack had to share with scrum. Jack went in and found that the pudgy man had left no room for him and was drooling all over. He thought otherwise than to sleep next to that and snuck into Angelica's tent. He found her curled up in a ball, shivering. Jack laid down next to her and wrapped his arms around her. Angelica stirred and turned towards him,

"Jack?" she asked tiredly.

"Yes, love. I found you shivering and thought it nice to keep you warm." Jack looked her in the eye seductively. "You know what would keep you warmer...." Jack fingered her dress laces.

"No." She replied sternly.

"But we could keep our clothes on." Jack pleaded.

"No." She turned away from him.

"But-" Jack practically begged.

"NO!" Angelica yelled as loud as she could without waking anyone. "You are such a lusty man." She scolded him.

"Fine, love. Don't be like that though. I'm trying to be nice here." Angelica sighed and turned back to face him. Jack played with her hair as she fell asleep, her head on his chest. Jack looked down at her. Just stirrings, He reminded himself. Then he drifted off aswell.
