I quickly walk to where he is, laying on the floor, pick him up and call his name "Wei".
He blinks a few times and smiles in pain "Lan Zhan" and slowly gets up. As we all look back at the beast, it was purely dark, hideous of a beast, with scales coverd skin, body of a tortoise and head of a snake. Its eyes glowed as the colour of autumn yet it's fangs were yellow and covered with faint blood.
"What kind of monster is this?" Someone yelled.
"Shut up" Jiang Cheng warns. The monster's head bobbed as if it could detect heat but like a snake it's eyesight was poor. Just then two vapour shoots from its nostrils and the maple leaves that were stuck to its sides were thrown away. Scared that the monster was going to attack them, Wen Chao screamed and the monster was taken aback by the sudden noise. In seconds everything became frenzy as it started attacking. With lack of weapons, we lacked proper chance of winning against it, but still, we tried our best to out do our chances.
Just then from my peripheral vision, we heard a girl scream, cowering under the attack of the iron rod which, Wen Chao's mistress was brandishing against the girl called Mian Mian, and in that second before we could save her, another body collided and the Iron Rod sizzled against his flesh. The waft of a burnt cooked meat enveloped our senses and my heart ripped for the person who was scarred forever.
Wei.
The wound is brandished just above his heart.
His scream, his wail and his pain would be forever laden in my memory for years to come. Every single drop of tears that he shed, would be etched as a nightmare for me.
Sprinting next to him, I kick the iron rod from her hand, and the mistress is thrown away by my power and I could care less.
Wen Chao immediately screeched and called for his mistress and in the next moment they all flee the scene, leaving us behind to fend for ourselves.
With no other option but to fight back, the beast was shot by bow and arrow, but it's thick skin was impenetrable. Defeated all the young Masters felt dejected.
"What do we do?"
"Wait for our parents to find us?"
"But how would they know we're stuck here, they would think we're still studying at Qishan Wen Sect"
My light-colored eyes land on Wei who was now being supported by Jiang Cheng. A strange yet not so subtle feeling gave way inside me. Immediately after, they landed on MianMian, who followed behind them, at a loss as to what has to be done, she kept sobbing her apologies.
